Thanks for this tutorial very good, I have two questions: 1. When I tilt the camera for the the second and third row the front of the lens is not in the nodal point, do you compensate for that by shifting the camera back or do you just skip that? 2. When I stitch my photos, when zooming in 100% I can see blurry parts in the photos while most of the photo is very sharp, do you know what the blurry parts comes from bad stitching or bad camera technique?, I am using adobe camera raw, I shoot everything in manual mode. I have been trying to shoot multi row landscape panoramas with close objects using 50mm or 35mm prime lenses

First of all, thank you for the compliment on the video. Now to your questions. When using a nodal rail, I have the camera moved back and the nodal point resolved for the first row. If I tilt the camera down for the second or third row, it's no longer necessary to move the camera back again. I would only consider moving the camera back if using an ultra-wide focal length. But there's no need for precise measurements on how much to move it. Just a small adjustment back should do the trick. And your second question: In which software do you stitch your panoramas? The blurred parts often occur in multi-row panoramas. This is usually caused by control points overlapping across multiple rows, leading to local blurring in the stitched panorama. Some panorama stitching software allows for masking similar to Photoshop, so you can define which parts of the photos should not have control points. This solution helps in 95% of cases.

@@jansmidphotography Thank you, very good, one last question, I am using Photoshop do you have experience from PTgui? if yes, is it easier to fix this issue with blurred parts in PTgui than in Photoshop?

@@tiptop9909 I'll answer simply: PTGui is the only reasonable choice. While many photo editors can stitch a panorama, only PTGui allows for significant intervention in the stitching process. Its masking feature is particularly well-executed. If you’re shooting panoramas with exposure bracketing, you’ll need the PTGui Pro version. By the way, if you haven't tried panorama with exposure bracketing yet and you're looking for some information, a new video on this topic will be available on our channel in a few hours. It covers panoramic photography combined with exposure bracketing.

I have a detailed 25-page tutorial on PTGui specifically for landscape photographers (covering projections, masking, control points, stitching error corrections, etc.). However, it's currently available only to participants of our photo expeditions.
