Panko Parmesan Crusted Baked Tilapia - How to bake fish in the oven
This Panko Parmesan Crusted Tilapia is Crunchy on the outside and tender and flaky on the inside. This crust also works great with Cod or Halibut! Its so flavorful that you don't even need a sauce!
Ingredients:
• Fish - 2 pounds
• Eggs - 2 Large
• Panko Bread Crumbs - 2 cups
• Grated Parmesan Cheese - 3/4 of a cup
• Creole Seasoning - 2 teaspoons of Creole (divided)
• Garlic Powder - 1 Tablespoon
• Olive Oil - 2 Tablespoons
• Salt and Pepper to taste
• Dried Dill - 1 teaspoon
Directions:
• Step 1 - Crack 2 eggs in a shallow plate. Add a big pinch of salt, fresh ground Black Pepper, 1 teaspoon of Creole Seasoning and 1 teaspoon of dried Dill. Whisk until well combined.
• Step 2 - In another shallow plate, add your bread crumbs, Olive Oil and 1 teaspoon of Creole Seasoning. Mix together until all ingredients are coated in the Olive Oil.
• Step 3 - Pre-heat your oven to 450° and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
• Step 4 - Take you fish and coat in the egg mixture on all sides.
• Step 5 - Transfer the gish to the Panko Parmesan mixture and press into the coating. Flip the fish and press into the Panko Parmesan mixture again so the fish is thickly coated in the breading.
• Step 6 - Place the fish on the sheet pan and repeat the process until all pieces of fish have been well coated.
• Step 7 - Place the fish in your pre-heated oven for 14-16 minutes, rotating half way through until golden brown.
Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy!

Thank you so much for watching! Its so much more crisper on the outside and tender on the inside when ots homemade. Plus, you can season it to your liking!
Fish looks delicious. I love your plates! Are they China? They remind me of some of my grandmothers vintage bowls I have.

@@CookCreateStyle WOW!
Im making this tomorrow I have mine sitting in the batter over night. Originally I was going to fry but I don’t want all that grease. 🤞🏼

If you fry at a higher temp, drain on a rack instead of paper towels, it won't be greasy at all!
Try putting flower on it before putting in in egg wash 😊
I'm excited to to try this recipe. What oven temp do you recommend?

@1:18 she stated 450°F
I tried this last night. I followed the recipe, but my panko did not brown like hers did after the time allowed. It was barely light gold color. After flipping and waiting longer, it just was not browning. My oven is a recent model and works fine. I don't know why it didn't work. I ended up removing from the oven and frying it in a shallow pan with a little bit of oil to get the panko to brown up and be crispy.

Hi. for how long shall we pre-heat the oven?

Gamer boy, it depends on your oven.... When it beeps that it has reached the temperature indicated, then it's ready but, usually 5-7 minutes...

Thank you so much colleague!!!
I find that breading sometimes falls off if I don't start with flour, THEN the eggs, and then the panko. Maybe it's just. me....

I’m on keto so use crushed pork rinds instead of bread crumbs.
