if there ever has been a city embracing its comic ... oh pardon: ... bd - culture it's brussels. with murals allover the city, with a comic museum... even with a metro station designed by Francois Schuiten. (not to forget a museum devoted to comic figures... which we had not visited, because we only had to days time).

Wonderful, thank you for sharing your trip. Adding it to my travel list. I recently visited London and Madrid and realized as an American how much more respect Europeans give to cartoonists.
I'm seeing more and more art murals in US cities. Nothing like in Brussels, but in the 1990s when I first started going to cities for punk shows there were almost none.

This type of visit to Brussels is on my to-do-list. I’m in Germany now and immediately you leave the country - coincidence? Going back to Finland today so you can return now😜

actually we‘ve been back for a while now, even though I‘ve still have a smile on my face when I‘m thinking about our trip… next time you‘re in Germany we definitely should try to NOT avoid a meeting :)

... and I was disappointed because the hergé museum was closed irregularly for exact the two days we were there 😂. Would have been impossible to see all that AND the musée hergé as well.

ah, come on, that's not too difficult 🤣 ... the sexual life of Tintin ... I found it particularly funny that they censored the phallic mushroom in that shop window.
