@@_apey yea idk why people are bashing the first cop so hard he was respectful and good at deescalating you can tell he was ignorant of policy vs law vs constitution due to lack of training and experience but in that situation he made the right call and called for the supervisor who explained to everyone he has the right to film in public.
Concerning the interaction with the trooper. It just blows me away that people--normal, everyday, intelligent people--cannot grasp that at the end of the day we are ALL JOURNALISTS with the right to confront our government. As you mentioned, even the trooper has that right. Concerning the office staff: thousands of cameras in these facilities, but one in the hands of a public citizen is a threat? Malarkey. Keep up the good work brother.

He was exceptionally good at speaking, especially for a cop, the problem is just he has nothing to say. He was doing the Ben Shapiro talk fast but say dumb things and hopefully it will confuse everyone into thinking it made sense.

By virtue of Article 17.3 of the Third Geneva Convention, each party to a conflict is required to furnish the persons under its jurisdiction who are liable to become prisoners of war with an identity card containing at least the bearer’s surname, first names, rank, army, regimental, personal or serial number and date of birth, or failing this, equivalent information. Further information may be added to the card at each party’s discretion. As a corollary and to ensure that this identification system runs smoothly, each prisoner of war, according to Article 17.1, “is either bound to give (…) his surname, first names and rank, date of birth, and army regimental, personal or serial number, or failing this, equivalent information” when questioned, or to show his identity card upon demand (Article 17.3).

I am forever getting up American's for calling them OFFICERS. They are CONSTABLES. Their ranks are internal LARPing. I worked for many years in law enforcement and corrected MANY people - because my first job WAS as an officer. An officer has a commission from a head of state. A constable is a civilian, they have a warrant. Warrants and commissions are two VERY different things. Until you get a commission you are NOT an officer. And the military ranks historically applied to civilian constabularies are internal only. A sergeant is NOT a sergeant unless they are a sergeant in a military capacity. Motorcycle clubs have a sergeant at arms. Do you call them sergeant instead of mister? Hell no!

Cool. Calm. Collected. A1A. Thanks for all your hard and really dangerous work. Fight the power! I'm convinced this work is so important in these trying times. I tried to explain to my Dad who says first amendment auditors are disrespectful a-holes. But we know the truth. People should not be afraid to film police brutality in progress, for example, or to otherwise hold public officials accountable. The older generation talks about respect. Meanwhile, the SSA is trying to collect over $10K they say they overpaid in disability to my now deceased son's mother. These public officials are not just disrespectful hypocrites, they're disgraceful.

I tell people I care about what auditors are. Because I don't want them to embarrass themselves on camera in perpetuity. And because they should know their rights to begin with. How officers still don't understand these things seriously blows my mind. I know they live in echo chambers, but it's like a cultural phenomenon on par with the Berenstain Bears Mandela effect, where cops just seem to live in an alternate reality where there is no constitution, and there isn't 70 percent of the country seeking peaceful accountability by public demonstration. It makes no sense how they aren't aware of all this going on. It's like managing to not realize it's December while walking through a mall and waving at Santa.
