Pancreatic cancer is a less common cancer compared to other digestive system cancers. It is a complex cancer. Pancreatic cancer is seldom detected at its early stages when it's most curable. This is because it often doesn't cause symptoms until after it has spread to other organs.

To prevent pancreatic cancer, it is important to understand why pancreatic cancer occurs.
The risk of pancreatic cancer increases with increasing age. There are also some hereditary reasons behind the occurrence of pancreatic cancer which you cannot control.

It is very necessary to your blood sugar level in control as it is observed long-standing diabetes increases the risk of pancreatic cancer, avoid smoking & drinking, and avoid a sedentary lifestyle which results in obesity. Also, repeated inflammation of the pancreas can lead to cancer.

There is no way one can diagonise an early stage pancreatic cancer unless there is a miracle or destiny wants it that way. My father a healthy discplined person had stage iv pancreatic cancer with no symptoms and was diagonised on a routine CT Contrast in 2022 which was preceeded by a USG which just showed liver lesions. The point is a day before the CT, a USG was done which also never detected that he had stage iv pancreatic cancer which a CT contrast did the next day. A routine checkup includes only normal blood tests and not USG or CT contrast and hence I say unless doctors and researchers dont’t mind preventive tests to detect this, we will lose lives of our near and dear ones as fast as 5 months. P.S. A yearly USG scan was done in my dad’s case a year before the actual detection which neither showed liver lessions nor pancreatic lessions. In less than a year it was that aggresive in nature with IHC classification as CA19-9, CK17. India needs to have pancreatic research institutes like pancan usa, canada etc. #pancreaticcancer #pancreaticcancerindiaresearch
