The pancreas is a gland located behind the stomach and in front of the spine. The pancreas produces digestive juices and hormones that regulate blood sugar. Pancreatic cancer occurs when cells in your pancreas develop mutation due to some internal or some external force. Pancreatic cancer can be dangerous and it is important that someone experiencing symptoms should consult an expert gastroenterologist at the earliest.
Some of the major symptoms of pancreatic cancer -
• Abdominal pain that radiates to your back
• Loss of appetite
• Sudden weight loss
It is very difficult to detect pancreatic cancer in its early stages. The success rate of treatment increases when the cancer of the pancreas is diagnosed in its primitive stage with the help of methods such as C.T Scan, routine endoscopy, etc.
