I love these plecos. Got one in my 75 and it's definitely the coolest pleco I've owned. It's also not very shy at all. I usually can see it out most of the day.

Wow, I learned a lot on that one. Now I know why some prices of fish are the way they are- that's a lot of work and dedication. Ok, I'll say it- I can't believe there is a fish food product called morning wood. Awesome.

I learned a lot from this video as i am going to be trying to breed blue phantom plecos L128, a lot of people on a fish Facebook page have laughed at me but i am willing to try, it has been done before so worth a shot. Im from NewZealand so fancy plecos are not so much around here. Selling at around $185nz

That's a cool pleco Ted, and a challenging project. 30 gallon breeders and detritus brings back memories and reminds me of Theil light reading. This 204 isn't in my old aqualog, I need some update stickers I guess.

Nice video! Definitely an ambitious pleco to start with as there are very few reported breedings, and of those only one or two have any legit information. Wishing you luck and looking forward to updates.

With the tetras that were with the plecos, are male red female yellows or are they all bred for the tail colours

Those are an undescribed species sold as 'sp. Junior'. The red ones are males

+Manfred Kiel Not really... the fry will stay in the cave for a while, and if I am quick enough I will be able to collect them before they come out.

Just got bristle-nose to breed and now I see these guys, I think my apistos are starting to worry...

Unfortunately, no. I recently moved my fishroom and down sized, and these plecos did not make the cut.

L204 panaqolus can be alot trickier to spawn, plecos like hypancistrus or peckoltia is alot easier. not the best thing to start out with if you want some pleco succes.
