Where I'm from in Hawaii I had Samoan neighbors. One was a chief and almost every month people would come over and I would be ni'ele (nosy) and climb on our garage to watch their kava ceremonies. I also remember my best friend Ula had beautiful ehu color hair and they would cut her hair for the women who did the taualuga. Her parents were the most humble people you'll ever known. But, going off on the subject haha... I would watch her ohana prepare the palusami and taro to eat and share. We had allot of ulu and gave to them. How I miss those days. Anyways, follow along for the preparation in making this palusami but I'm adding salmon inside.
