@@kingnothing5678 in my headcannon Thrawns failure in Rebels is a learning moment for him which shaped him into the legends thrawn.

This shows to me that he was preparing for something far worse and much bigger. The large fleets were not there to open fight but to be on standby.... They really gave a lot of pre story for the Vong and other outside the galaxy enemies. I love these lore vids and i really hope some of these super ships are added back into cannon. Keep up the amazing work and the thrilling content! Also good outro.

The God King called Phil me too! I always liked the idea of an outside threat. The vong were such an awesome arc too, and thats why i always enjoyed the empire because they looked bad but were trying to be good in a way. It always makes me wounder what would have happened if the empire stayed in power and were able to build a super armada. Would the vong done as much damage or would it have been the same as the Falklands war with the vong being the the Argentineans? That would be a good alternate history episode. If only it wasn't illegal to burn down disney world and behead the CEO's of Disney.

Toggle Fire The thing is Palpatine never had any altruistic motives with preparing the galaxy for the Vong. He saw them as a threat to his power and if the Empire had survive long enough for the invasion he might jump at this in order to discredit the rebellion

Emp United ohh ok. Thats a good point and i never thought of that. The last part with the rebellion confused me, if you can add detail it would help me understand. He would discredit them how? Like tell them to join the empire to fight the threat then crush the leaders? Or like blame them for the invasion? Sorry if im just not following cuz im quite tired rn lol

Toggle Fire The force unleashed. In its sequel he complains to vader that the rebellion they started has grown out of hand implying he formed it in some way as a means to get rid of his political opponents.

You should do Palpatine's secret observatories I've always been curious about all the secret things Palpatine has. Like start a series about all of the secret things Emperor Palpatine had done like this one

Tyler Christensen A lot. In legends he located Sith rituals artifacts made deals with aliens behind close doors, killed and cloned people for numerous experiments and sent fleets into unknown space. He had hands but never told any of them about the others and at one point was implied he help found the rebel in order to destroy all who opposed him.

So he had Observatories at Jakku, Pillio, Adumar, and presumably other remote worlds near the Unknown regions.

Wtf was Palpatine budget even to get not only so many ships but even ships such as the eclipse and such. I know he took control of the banks but even then he seemed to have unlimited cash on him.

The Empire could just seize planets for their resources whenever they wanted; they were an authoritarian military dictatorship and didn't have to deal with pesky Senate hearings or the wellbeing of aliens to get what they wanted.

yes. considering how much resources a planet can have (specially in its molten core), coupled with the army having complete control over such places (therefore no external, non military bureaucracy to hinder down progress) the greatest issue would be having enough manpower to extract said resources, rather than having access to them.

An interesting fact. During the clone wars the battlefleet that was protecting oversector 5,which encompassed deep core,including byss,was called Shadow Hand. Probably that's why Palpatines offensive was called so

Yeah, the Guide to Warfare book gave lots of new names for sector armies and command groups, that was mean't to tie into future lore.

Seeing that clip of Piett there after hearing you talk about the imperial command structure bring destroyed at Endor, I can't help but wonder what would've happened if he survived the battle? He was the commanding officer of the whole fleet there afterall, including future Imperial figure head and possible first order founder Rea Sloane. Maybe that could be a video... how would the escape of the Executor SSD (and Piett in it) effect the Star Wars Universe and the decline of the empire?

Game Hedgehog mainly because palpatine was overconfident and "leaked" the location of the death star to the rebels so they Would fell in the trap not expecting a full y operational station, but the plan of course failed. To be clear palpatine was not even hiding the death star, so It wasnt placed with a secret fleet the rebels didnt know about. Edit: i didnt really understand the question, is this what you were asking about?

To add to to Mr. Red Tie's explanation. Look up the first few missions for Battlefront 2 (The new one), it explains this as Red Tie has already. Just to add before someone tries to say otherwise, BF2 is canon.

I like to believe Darth Sidious had a feeling the Vong were coming and that’s why he ignored both Thrawn and Vader and pushed for the Death Stars and other ships that could handle any thing 1 vs 1
