    Order 66 was in fact public knowledge, however there was order 65 which throw off the Jedi’s suspicions. Order 65 is an order where if the Supreme Chancellor went rouge or was too dangerous to remain in power than he would be taken out of office peacefully or Forcefully. Sense the Jedi had a lot of power to begin with the Jedi Council believed it would be fair if there was a contingency incase the Jedi Order ever went rouge. This is why Order 66 was made.

    Airier, the Contingency Orders of the GAR are canonically public knowledge. They are included in the emergency powers. There is an order that needs a majority vote of the senate to work, how would they be able to do that without knowing it exists? Also, Order 37. Capture of a single or multiple individuals by both threat of an actual execution of innocent individuals.

    I think the "twist" about order 66 being know by the jedis in lore was all around the way it was explained to them: in case of "something something Jedi commander fail or misbehave", said commander must be remove from command. To them, 1: remove wasnt meant in a lethal way, 2: it was suppose to be a case by case situation, as in remove that one specific jedi commander, rather than remove literally all jedi in existence from reality. To sum it up, the order 66 the jedis were told about was: "remove the jedi commander", while the order that all clones were told was: "REMOVE ALL jediS commanderS". Note the capital letters indicate the major difference between versions. Also of note to Airier since he didnt watch the clone war cartoon: the orders werent just told to the clone as through instructors and manuals. Every single clone in the republic army had a chip installed in its head. Officially it was about nerfing them and making them more loyal to their non clone leaders since their model (Jungo Fett who died at the end of episode 2) was too aggressive/compulsive/unpredictable. That chip's existence was not know to the jedi before near the end of the clone war.

    @@requiemlul3140 while i agree they probably didnt though about that order being use galaxywide at once, I somewhat disagree on the use of the word "perfectly". i'm pretty sure the jedi counsel would have vehemently object to any clone order that would state "slaughter every single jedi on sight on the spot". Cant imagine Yoda accepting such an expeditive judgement in any circumstances. That was suppose to be for removing the current jedi commander from his leading position. In fact its a rule that only the Jedi counsel can judge another jedi. They are literally beyond the reach of most if any judicial arm of the republic system. And when outside, that was usually on a diplomatic mission with diplomatic immunity on their side.

  • @Soulwrite7

    @Soulwrite7

    Yes. While the orders were public knowledge or at least known by senators, Jedi, and upper military personal. The fact that the clones were grown with control chips in their brains, which would compel absolute obedience, regardless of situation or emotional attachment, was only known by the Kaminoans, Palpatine, and Duku. I am not sure that even the Kaminoans were aware of the plans of the Sith.

    @@oliviernaud4373 Again, I agree, that’s a perfect description of the order. I didn’t say it was meant for removing every Jedi. The reason the clones killed ALL Jedi is because Palpatines sent the order to ALL clone commanders, not because that’s the order. If he only sent it to Cody only Obi-Wan would have been attacked.

    So to give some insights. 1) Palpatine has a LOT of people working for him. Both as "the kindly Chancellor Palpatine" who is just looking for solutions. And as Tyrant Palpatine, knowing the guy's a power mongering would be dictator but who don't care about that and are doing things people normally would never do either because it's normally illegal or because they want in on the coming Empire. 2) Hyperspace ramming is a logical rabbithole that wrecks the internal logic of starwars. Moat planets aren't as dense as the New Order fleet that was destroyed in the last Jedi, and that was ship accellerating into hyperspace, meaning that a ship of that mass could destroy planets...meaning a death laser is more expensive and less effective than just having hyperspace rams. So anyone who wants to go OK lets have hyperspace ramming rather than the old SW:EU "and then the ship destroys itself slamming into the shields/planet surface causing disproportionately low damage" Well they have to come up with a whole thing to show and explain why Palpatine would want a death laser space station rather a scary looking fleet of suicide ships that could crack open hole to a planet's core at any time he wants and of course do multiple planets simultaneously.

    Yeah, that is a weird one. I think a reason for this could be the fact that Clones were bought by the Sith before the Clone Wars without the knowledge of the Republic (in the guise of a Jedi) and for example the order to remove the Chancellor is there just in case Palpy didn't manage to get the job. But the Clones were always supposed the receive the special orders from the Dark Lord of the Sith, not the Chancellor of the Republic. That does make them being public pretty weird tho. Realistically (ignoring the chips) they totally should have went "yes sir/chancellor/your excellency (which I am pretty sure is what the actual official adress style of the Supreme Chancellor is)" rather than "my lord".

    @Airier While I was listening to the series I assumed that the Battle of Axom was taking place over a few weeks. However Fan has recently confirmed that in actuality the battle up to the current video he has made is more like 8-10 hrs. The reason it feels so long is that he is cutting between multiple point of view characters he is establishing and developing, such that the same fight is viewed from different perspectives, and while one thing is happening so is another. Once the battle for Axom is concluded and the point of view characters separate timeline progression will hasten as concurrency reduces. I feel as though this is important to keep in mind to help your enjoyment. Even though this is relatively new meta-textual information it explains why there is such a lack of dates and times being mentioned, because there is literally no time (or negative time) between scene changes. However with that said, Fan does despise flash-backs/flash-forwards so that will make following the story easier.

  • @RipOffProductionsLLC

    @RipOffProductionsLLC

    Жыл бұрын

    I'm pretty sure Fan said that "8 hours" was not a canonical number, just an example he was using to explain why the battle of Axum was dragging on much longer then he or the audience would have expected; "it the battle was 8 hours, that's 8 hours of Anakin, 8 hours of Asoka, 8 hours of Ayla, (repeat "8 hours of X" for all the other characters Airier hasn't met yet), etc., and that adds up to be like days of stuff happening in only those 8 hours" though the point that everything we've seen so far all being less than one day is true(barring maybe the cut aways to events on other worlds, which might be displaced into the past to make room for travel times, or maybe even into the future due to travel times, we just don't have a lot to go on to try and sync up these events at the moment)

  • @Soulwrite7

    @Soulwrite7

    Жыл бұрын

    @@RipOffProductionsLLC Thank you for clarifying my statement. You are correct when you say that 8 hrs was not canonical, and that Fan used it as an example. Though the spirit of my comment was, like Fans statement, to emphasize the relatively short duration of time which has passed within his universe, compared to the duration of released content. That the events being described are sequential or concurrent. I appreciate you comment though as my intention wasn't to mislead, but I was not able to recall the whole statement made (hence wording 'more like' and giving a range 8-10). Thank you though for your polite corrective comment =).
