Pure Unadulterated Camp. Didn't we have "Desperate Housewives"? Repeat with a different series name, actors, etc. Funny Show, though.

it's a great show, but predictably a bunch of critics are hating on it because they just don't *get* the kind of audience this was made for. fabulous ppl like me get it, though, and we all love it!

This is going to be great!

Did the director of photography add a filter to simulate shallow depth of field or is that how it was shot? In my opinion, there is too much post processing manipulation of the image in this series. Fun with smoothing, vignettes and blur. I suppose they wanted the cast to look younger than they are, but it does provide a great lesson for future directors.

All these shows are starting to look alike. Great vintage clothes , snappy catty dialogue - tragedy - death- irony- . and a LOT of sex .They are also very mean spirited.

It looks like a take on AB FAB not fully realized. The AB FAB audience has moved along to other reality shows

Please let this be a success. Not sure Abe Sylvia has the experience to pull off such an ambitious project though and he seems to have watched a little too much Ryan Murphy for my taste. I hope I’m wrong. The first three episodes are definitely entertaining but the writing is a bit confusing and a tad repetitive. Ryan Murphy’s disastrous poor taste seems to have rubbed off a bit here and the lack of relative period realism and attention to details is a bit concerning. We need more substance and tighter writing! The world needs Kristen Wiig though! Her incredible talent is underused. Bridesmaids is an eternal gem of a movie and the world needs more of her. Barb and Star Go To Vista Del Mar was a fun little comic treasure but Ghostbusters tanked (although I did enjoy it) and there’s no way that these three films are all that we’re getting from this genius comedian (Don’t tell me Wonder Woman or any of her odd alternative movies although I did like some of The Skeleton Twins, Welcome to Me and Friends With Kids but none if that came close to Bridesmaids because she was herself in this and that’s what works for great movie stars). Palm Royal seems a tad too ambitious but it’ll go cult fast. Can’t wait to see what Norma/Burnett will bring to the next episodes. Hoping for less Laura Dern and her whole entourage of new age super boring story line, less Nixon TV, less dressing room with Grayman, more Ricky Martin, more Kaia Gerber more location, better period details and better story arch. I also wish they’d cast a much hotter Douglas but Lucas will have to do! I guess! Where was Jamie Dornan??? Maxine needs to become more relatable too. Crossing my fingers for tweaks that will help this live up to its potential!
