INGREDIENTS FOR PALLIPALAYAM CHICKEN :
3/4 Kg Of Country chicken || 3/4 கிலோ நாட்டு கோழி
250 Gram Small Onion || 250 கிராம் சின்ன வெங்காயம்
10-15 garlic || 10-15 பூண்டு
Half coconut || அரை மூடி தேங்காய்
The required amount coriander leaves || தேவையான அளவு கொத்த மல்லி இலை
The required amount turmeric powder || தேவையான அளவு மஞ்சள்த் தூள்
The required amount dry chilly || தேவையான அளவு வர மிளகாய்
The required amount Curry leaves || தேவையான அளவு கருவேப்பிலை
The required amount oil || தேவையான அளவு எண்ணெய்
Little mustard || சிறிதளவு கடுகு
Little Black gram || சிறிதளவு உளுந்தம் பருப்பு
Little Bark clove powder || சிறிதளவு பட்டை கிராம்பு தூள்.

Today’s special recipe in Erode Ammachi Samayal is the most popular Pallipalayam Chicken curry. This spicy, yummy and tasty curry with aromatic flavors is easy to prepare. Pallipalayam is a famous region in Tamil Nadu and it’s quite popular for its fiery hot delicious cuisine. This dish is meant to be hot and real spicy, but can be tamed by reducing the chillies to suit your own palate though. This curry is always great to enjoy with parotta, roti, naan or with rice.
This is one of the easy recipes to cook in Kongunadu cuisine. Though the recipe sounds very simple it’s very tasty and one of my all time favorites. Not sure if this is originated from the place Pallipalayam near Erode. Pallipalayam is a town in TamilNadu, India where this recipe is said to have originated and hence the name, Pallipalayam Chicken. This chicken dish is a popular one and well-loved among the people in and around namakkal and erode region. These areas are all well-known for their kongunadu foods, a cuisine most unique to the kongu region. Kongunadu cuisine has its own traditional dishes one among which is the Arisiparuppu sadam which is believed to be originated during the fourth century CE.
Coming back to pallipalayam chicken, this dish is made with simple balance of shallots, garlic and red chillies. The most important ingredient is the addition of tiny pieces of coconut meat which gives this dish a unique flavor and the traditional kongunadu touch. Pallipalayam chicken is very quick to make and most importantly if you are looking for a low carb, Keto-friendly and paleo option, then this is the perfect dish. Pallipalayam chicken also has its place in the menu of most of the South Indian restaurants. It can be either had as an appetizer or as a side dish for rice.
Pallipalayam Chicken Fry Recipe is a quick Tamilnadu Style Chicken side dish. It contains very few ingredients and yet turns out to be very delicious. The key essence to this dish is the use of pearl onions which is widely used in Tamil Nadu Cuisine. It is popularly called as “Chinna Vengayam”. The onions are ground along with garlic and then sautéed well with basic Indian spices. The boneless chicken pieces are then cooked in this aromatic masala.
Pallipalayam chicken fry is a very popular recipe from the tamilnadu cuisine. It is one of the most favourite dishes for the chicken lovers. If you want you can deep fry the chicken, but I prefer shallow fry. There are a lot of restaurants specialized in serving foods all over the world. Long back I got this Pallipalayam chicken fry recipe from a Tamil friend from Chennai. She was my neighbour in Kerala. So let’s learn how to prepare Pallipalayam chicken fry by following this easy step by step recipe.
Pallipalayam chicken is the favourite cuisine of the region of Tamil Nadu state in South India. The Kongu community, who are a majority in this region. The cuisine is one of the spiciest and the most aromatic in India. In the cuisine mainly non- vegetarian food is prepared using variety of spices. Most of the dishes are served along with rice and rice based accompaniments such as appam, dosa, idiyappam, and idli. Chettinad cuisine offers a variety of vegetarian and non- vegetarian dishes.
In this Pallipalayam chicken fry, the spices are freshly grounded in a blender. But if you want you can grind the spices in the stone pestle for the most authentic taste for the Pallipalayam chicken. This fry is an easy recipe, gets cooked pretty fast once the spices are ready. You can increase or decrease the spice level according to your taste.     JENI, Get a Clay Pot and wash it well. Dry it in cool place and after that apply Seasame Oil and keep it for few days. After that pour Rice washed water in it and keep it in the Simmer Flame upto boiling level. Then switch off. Do like this for few days. After it gets trainned ....then use it for Cooking. When starting to cook recipes ... pour few Teaspoon Oil first. It avoids cracks in that pot. Don't keep pot for cooking without Oil....
