Zuzana the amount of torture done in last two centuries though the British left the country - they had so much impact on our minds -we started questioning our on civilization but little did they know that our civilization is oldest of all and two centuries of atrocities cannot weaken us ... Its also thru that we are taking our own time to build our self back... But since 2014 we are in process of reclaiming our lost identity.. People in western world never respected Indian passport and called us names.. However we are in better position since and progressing postive in terms of respect.. Due to the positive policy of the current govt people of india have contributed taxes and not escaped, it also means that we the people of India have confidence in current govt that the money paid in the form of taxes to ru the govt is used positively by govt .. for developing the infra, helping the poor in basic needs and elevating education system. The digital india - what Palki was saying is earlier only 40% of population had bank account, under current government the policy was made to ensure people of every class had bank account. What this would mean is - the accountability is visible, govt schemes for varous policies were paid to the needful in their accounts directly, thus avoiding corruption. I would still say we are in a better position and we are improving no country is 100% perfect but this current govt is showing positive progress.

@@zuzanareacts I would agree with Shruti.. 200 years of subservience will have an impact on your own self respect. I’m glad we are getting out of it, and the fact that we have had enough of western lecturing to the point that we don’t care anymore, speaks volumes about the self confidence brought back by the current government. I work in IT industry where i deal with foreign clients everyday, but now I have the confidence to show up to any meeting and feel I can stand tow to toe with anyone around the world has given me hope. I won’t reveal my real age, but there was a time Earlier when we providing IT services to western world thought of ourselves as just cheap labour. But since 2014, I started to realise my value against my competitors from anywhere in the world. I now have the confidence to argue my points with conviction and confidence which was missing in me earlier. Now whenever a foreign client visits us, I know that I am equal to them and I can have meaningful and fruitful conversations. Just some anecdotes from my personal experience 😊

I have seen development under Modi Ji, But 1) i want to see our railways & railway stations modernized in next 5 years - clean station clean toilets clean coaches instant booking 2) i want to see proper cleaning agency looking after our beaches, temples, markets & tourist places - 5th or 3rd largest has no meaning if we can't do this. 3) i want too see proper population planning & law to handle growing population - uncontrolled population is biggest challenge for future growth Then, i will say yes India is on the right track. I will wait to see atleast one of them being fulfilled in next 5 years.

The present generation is the generation of their grandchildren, so beyonfd stories that were passed down none of us have faced British colonialism acts.
