Palestinians queue for hours to receive food distributed by charitable organisations in Deir Balah
It was stated that hunger awaits 1.7 million Palestinians living in the southern cities as a result of the land attack launched by the Israeli army on Rafah in the south of Gaza and the prevention of aid inflows. Due to the Israeli operation that has been going on for days, the Rafah and Kerem Abu Salim border gates were completely closed and trucks carrying humanitarian aid were not allowed to enter.
Due to the closure of the border gates, displaced Palestinians face the danger of hunger. Palestinians who migrated from Rafah city to Deir Balah city due to Israeli attacks waited in queues to get a bowl of food distributed by charitable organisations.
A Gazan who distributes food said, "We used to distribute food only to civilians staying in Deir Balah, but now we distribute food to thousands of people. Due to the Israeli attacks on Rafah, we cannot find gas, firewood or cooking materials. We are trying to provide three meals to the people here every day. If these problems continue like this, we will have to suspend the food distribution."
Gazan civilians who receive food said that they could no longer find ingredients for cooking and that they wait in this queue for hours every day to buy food for their families.
