Rough pull on Van and Van Cryst. the stats on them baseline are just way higher; I think both are in top 10 attack stats. I think you should showcase what you pulled in post but but not tell each other before you start. If I knew Donk pulled those Vans I'd hard commit on the Bushi for manuals and hope the level gap would make up for the stats.

I think that's a great idea! I'll try it that way for the next one. We're excited to get suggestions, we feel like there are so many possibilities wuth this series. We're considering other ways to randomly choose pals. Like possibly we get 5 real life minutes to go to any pal trader or black marketeer and buy 3 pals, no leveling up. Doing element specific battles. Just different stuff than only hatching random eggs. Overall I'm really excited for this, it was so much fun and we've been waiting for so long to be able to do it.

@@AzaleahGames I like the egg thing as its way more random. you know where you pulled the eggs from so its not entirely random but having the other person pick gives it a you-cut-i-chose vibe. I haven't tested it yet, but there are some pretty big bonuses for level differences between pals. If you keep doing the manuals it may well be that picking 1 and maxing it will give more ROI than spreading it out. That being said it might be more interesting to just go with an "egg cup" and only use what pops. your move pool wont be great but it will likely be way more even from a stat perspective. Edit: actually on that note, it may be interesting to do Skill Fruit instead of Manuals. it would make up for the skill deficiency on coming right out of the egg and give you the opportunity to mix in some counters for weaknesses. you could set up a viewing cage with vendors and give a static amount of money, or pre-farm trees, or even farm trees as part of the video. though again doing something during the video will give away part of your strat and you might end up fighting for good tree spawns.

@bobnewkirk7003 Okay, first, thank you for episode 2 😆 I will say that I have no idea where I gathered the eggs because I've been saving them up for weeks. I literally have hundreds from all over, as well as grabbing an egg from each breeding set and randomly throwing them in, so there's the possibility of a really great pal with really great passives. One of the eggs is a jetragon. One is an alpha chicken. Everything we've been breeding has had one egg put in containers. I love the skill fruits instead of manuals sometimes, especially since we're running out of manuals doing this 😆 And choosing the variety of skills, specifically based on CT times is something else I was going to pay more attention to next time. Ngl, we already made a second one, but it ended in a draw, so we've decided to reshoot it to avoid a draw this early on. If it happens later once we've ironed out the kinks, then it'll stand. But not in episode 2. This has been something we've wanted to do for a while, I've been preparing for it since they finally gave us a date for the pal arena. Overall, it's been SO fun to do, I just hope other people enjoy it as well. 😉

@@AzaleahGames Its a lot of fun. Pal AI isn't 100% and the arena is behaving exactly how I was expecting it to, however the devs know their audience and probably never hoped to have a truly "competitive" mode in their game. given a couple rounds I'm sure a "meta" will emerge, the game is nowhere near balanced, however the people playing in the arena are also the people to self-govern. RE episode 2, I hope you have fun with it. Regardless if its a draw or one sided your reactions/thought process are what make the video interesting. well, to me at least...
