IIT,IIM are institutions not universities first understand the difference. What I said stand correct. These colleges do come on top for range of courses. Including engineering. DU has engineering courses, MBA courses as well. Same is the case with JAMIA,AMU Just go and read the alumni from these colleges. Civil servants, Politicians,Authors, many are working abroad etc. These are Central govt universities whereas IIT,IIM are autonomous bodies. I appeared in 2017 and qualified for JEE Mains but missed JEE Advanced by 11 marks. Cried a lot n felt depressed after not qualifying. 😅 But moved on from that. My favourite subject was Chemistry then Maths ♥️, Physics was my least favorite 😂 And today I'm a System Engineer.

16:40 JEE engineering exams are conducted in two papers - JEE MAINS - through which NITS (second most prestigious engineering colleges),IIITs and seats in other GFTIs(government funded institutes) are obtained by students based on their AIR ( all India rank ) . Now those who qualify certain cut off ( generally around 90 percentile ) are qualified for JEE ADVANCE . Students who achieve good AIR in advance are admitted in IITs through counseling . Class 12th to 2 year senior ( droppers ) can appear for these exams . Before covid Jee mains happen twice a year ( Jan and April) and then Advance which has two papers in total and last for 6 hours . Apart from IITs(total 23 and its super difficult to get into top 10 IITs ), NITs(total 31 and top 5 NITs give tough competition to IITs ) and GFTIs there are excellent private engineering colleges as well like BITS pilani and other decent colleges like VIT , SRM , JIIT and many excellent State funded institutes. And of course JEE is no joke as it's selection ratio or acceptance rate is just 1 percent less than MIT whose selection ratio is 5 percent

IIT me jaane ke liye JEE exam hota hai. Phele JEE Main exam hota hai, usme 10-15 lakh student appear hote hai. Usme se 1.5 Lakh students select hote hai to appear for 2nd round of exam called JEE Advance. JEE advance clear kar ke top ke 10-15 thousand student ko kisi IIT me seat milta hai.

Percentile based hai. Scores are combined into a cumulative scores. And these scores are mapped one-to-one onto ranks. And different IITs are allocated on the basis of Rank. We have multiple IITs for example, IIT BOMBAY, DELHI, CHENNAI, ROORKEE, Kharagpur, etc. I myself studied from IIT ROORKEE (Uttarakhand). I can tell getting into one is not a child's play. 🥲 But now I am a senior analyst in a big MNC in Bangalore so I can say all the hard work paid off.

Do you think genetics play a prominent role in getting into IIT? I was always an average student but had huge interest in physics and mathematics. But I felt like some people have a genetic advantage because despite having interest and passion for the subject I just couldn't compete with others. I dropped education and currently in business line which is fortunately going well and I'm happy with my job. But whenever I hear everybody has the same potential in learning something, it kinda makes me disagree.

@@adityajoies I agree somewhat that genetics do play a role there are studies supporting the hypothesis however it all boils down to effort and love for the subject. If you can devote time and effort the influence of genetics in determining your probability of success is marginal. Ultimately it's like sports if you train more and efficiently your muscles will become stronger similarly with brain if one uses it judiciously and trains the right neural pathways the probability of success in any subject increases. So it all boils down to right effort.

These iitians guys r really brilliant...i came across a fellow who stood 16th rank in iit exam...i was amazed he didn't require any book or pen to solve problems ...he used to run across his finger in air as though he is writing on papper and within seconds he used to solve the mist diff problems for i think I would have required atleast half hour that too with pen and papper 4 pages extra with no accurate answer...he used to smile at me but he was always down to earth very simple lifestyle...later I came to know he has joined nasa as scientist...

ohhh yeah.....ima JEE Aspirant...The JEE MAINS exam will be held in june 20 (1st Attempt) ,and in august or September there will be jee Advance after second attempt. EDIT- IF you are foreigner then its very easy to get in IITs as the 10 percent of IITs seats are reserved for foreign students. Also, they dont have to give JEE mains, they can give jee Advance directly. its easy for foreign students to get in IITs becuz these guys wont be competing with Indian students they will competing with other foreign students who are appearing for JEE Advance for foreign quota respectively.

These kids are one of the smartest in the nation, IIT Bombay ka seats are very less.. and chirag is actually chirag falor, a student at MIT, who secured all india 1st rank in jee advance

They had no social or political or economical contribution to India. That means we are doing something right. Handling the pressures of Indian education competition itself teaches how to handle real life problems. Google's CEO is from IIT. why the hell to cram so much information when 90 percent dream of just landing a job at a us tech company..... after 2 years nobody would be able to solve a single question because jee exams are structured in such a way that you literally have to cram so much information to cope up with the time pressure that memorization and adopting short cuts is the only option..... it is actually better that mit is offering cheat sheet because whatever formulas are on there an indian student has to memorize 10 times of that to make a fair attempt at jee. at the end the problem solving prowess of both the students is the same just that the indian student had to memorize a lot of stuff which he will soon forget.

For admission rank is directly depends on jee advance score and on an average out of 18 lakhs to 20 lakhs students only 15000 student get admission in iit mam.
