Shahram Azhar is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Bucknell University in Lewisburg Pennsylvania, with an educational background from LUMS and a Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, having research interests in Political and Development Economics, Shahram is a suitable person to discuss all the major economic issues that Pakistan is facing.
In this podcast, we have discussed in detail about the issues Pakistan is facing from political instability, anti-establishment politics, and what could be done for the betterment of the country including Marxism and the Worker’s Cooperatives system.

For kind information of Shahram .. startups in Pakistan are going bust. Airlift is big name that got bundled out of country. Also, most importantly when the people try to give IT services to west and the moment the customer comes to know that it’s from Pakistan, they either cancel the order or cut the budget. There is huge trust issue.

One question: With all this knowledge and economics skills, why is Dr. Shahram not present in Pakistan and working for Pakistan ? Why is that we have so many economists from Dr. Atif Mian at top to Dr. Shahram, they all are working and living in USA Canada etc. Why we always have imported economist in Pakistan but still fail to correct economy ? Everyone from layman to educated economist Hope to get answers from You. Allah Taala apko salamat rakhe.

Sad, this guys is not soul searching on the people who are electing these rulers. Further everybody in pakistan become the saviour of religion and in the process move the law and expectation to impractical level. Hope he listen to person like hisar who emphasis on the reform of the people thinking and a timeframe of ten to 15 year to change
