I was a kid when Kargil happened but I still remember watching Captain Batra saying "Yeh Dil Maange More" on NDTV, it was a chilling moment and a moment of rejoice. Next day he died and even I (a kid who was watching such things for the first time) felt bad after hearing the news. He was definitely inspirational and enigmatic soldier, a real hero.

I was in high school at Kendriya Vidyalaya (under Indian Army) and we were outraged when we learnt that Pakistani troops had encroached our land. It was a hard earned victory. Jai Hind !!!
