Few more points that I think you have missed 1- Paint quality on japanese alto is 100 times better than Pdm Alto 2- Automatic transmission of JDM Alto is also smoother and less faulty than Pdm Alto

Bhai, the problem i think is Suzuki might not have strong competition in Pakistan and that is the reason they are not giving features and charging a premium even for basic things... Here in India we now 6 airbags mandatory across cars and ABS and EBS as basic features...Also more than 90 percent of the cars are equipped with power windows from their base model.

We bought the top variant of pakistani alto. And i have to say, with due respect to the youtuber, pakistani alto is not so..... . . . . . . . . great. It is a health hazard at best. No stability rod even. No airbags, nothing. It's bullshit. I would not mind paying another 2-4 lacs just for the safety features.

With due respect brother, but the comment seems like that you'll be definitely more than ok regarding the fact that cheapest japanese alto will still have more basic necessary features than the most expensive alto you can find in Pakistan. If i had to choose between alto and a mehran, it's mehran cos the parts are cheap.

The important thing.. no doubt the japanese version is better in every way vut there is a price difference of more than 10 laks in these two cars.. Pakistani assembled one has less features but is 10 laks cheaper too. There are very few people that would buy alto for 30 laks even with these features

Yes the Japanese Alto is expensive, I tell you the older variant of the alot talking about the 2012 one, still has alot more option way more reliable, cuz of the much superior build quality. And it's cheaper than this Pakistani assembled bullshit. Also in the price of Pakistani alto, there are other japanese options which are almost better in every way, and are cheaper if not the same price. Finding these requires only a little more research and the proper mindset, which unfortunately our Pakistani ppls don't have.

One issue you forgot to mention is that Pakistan doesn't have the raw material needed for automotive manufacturing and other components. This is the same reason why CD 70 is the only locally produced bike design. One solution is to import the material required but that would increase the price.

Then Pakistan should shut down it's auto manufacturing industry (which is in fact just auto assembling industry), they could not implement the deletion scheme (gradually lessening of dependence on imported parts) even after so many years. It's better to import cars then to feed these white elephants (it's seths in fact) in the name of local industry.
