Yes I like the Vrod very much. My daughter wanted to upgrade to something more powerful than her Honda Shadow 750. So I gave her the Vrod. I still have my 2018 Streetglide Special I ride pretty much everyday as well. I will get a replacement bike for the Vrod for myself in the coming year. She’s put about 3000 miles on the Vrod so far and 10000 on the Shadow. I think she put at least 500 miles on my Streetglide as well. She’s 19 and has ridden a little over a year. She has even done “ride like a pro” advanced course. She is an excellent rider better than most of the bikers I ride with. She’s super fast on the Vrod!!!

chris well hopefully Harley will bring out these new market bikes with a newer version of the Revolution engine. I wouldn’t hold my breath though. Every time Harley comes out with a new market bike it doesn’t do well. The Vrod is really the only one that had some success it lasted 15 years. I might do a video on this. Personally I think Harley should simplify its range of bikes and cut production cost on a lot of the different models in each range to lower prices.

Hey Paulk!! Love your videos and your rinding style man. I pulled the trigger on a deal for a 2012 muscle I couldn't refuse! I currently have a Stryker and love the sounds of the V&H pipes on it. Now for the Muscle, Been watching videos online trying to decide between the V&H or the Tab slips. Just curious, what type of tuner or fuel manager are you running? Did you get the bike tuned professionally? Sounds mean!!!

Ivan Hey thanks for watching and commenting. The bike was dyno tuned at Petersen Harley of Miami 111.53 rwhp with 80lbft torque in very hot humid weather 95f @ 90%+ humidity. Not sure it's necessary to tune for slip ons but I did just in case. If you do I would bite the bullet have HD do it......

I meant to continue my reply. My friend is riding a 2012 muscle in the video mine is a 2016 muscle only difference is mine comes with abs standard his didn't. His dyno tuned at 120rwhp at 79lbft of torque but I think mine is as fast or faster we've raced and I'm 30lbs heavier never lost to him. Anyways have a Stryker buddy that rides with us have a couple vids up on my channel with him and us Muscles. Also TAB exhaust sounds a lot different you might like or not I do btw. They make more power but quality and finish doesn't match V+H I think. This video is closest to the real thing you'll find on the internet. I strapped a lavelier mic behind my bandanna to get that realistic sound!!! It's a great bike not to many regrets trading in my M109r for it. Keep watching thanks

How do you feel on that bike for longer than a hour ? I and wanting to buy one but I’m torn between this and the x diavel, but I love the sound and looks of the muscle. I’m just curious if this is a comfortable bike? And how does your passenger feel on it ?

  • @paulkmaster3231

For me it’s a terrible bike for rides longer than 30-45 minutes much less an hour or more. The stretch to the handlebars and foot pegs was uncomfortable. The factory foot pegs are smallish and cheap switched to larger premium foot pegs from Harley was a significant improvement. They absolutely are out of place on this bike because the rest of the bikes parts seem premium. The passenger pillion should be used sparingly it’s terrible but I think the Diavel is worse. The Vrod is better sounding and ten times better looking than the Diavel but it’s not nearly as fast. I eventually traded in my Vrod Muscle for the 2020 Vmax. Neither the Diavel nor the Vmax have the looks or character the Vrod has. And neither bike are real Cruiser bikes like the Harley is. The Vrod just sounds incredible with aftermarket pipes. You can ride with a pack of Harleys and fit right in but not with the Diavel or Vmax. I have a 2018 Streetglide special to serve my cruiser group rides needs. That’s where the Vrod just fits in so good. A high performance cruiser that looks right and goes like no other traditional looking cruiser. Oh yeah it destroys M109r’s btw. I had both I know. But that’s another whole subject....Thanks for watching and commenting 👍

@@paulkmaster3231 I love the vmax I used to have the vmax 1200, the history of that bike is awesome too the designer wanted to capture the hot rod era of American muscle with the sound of the motor, also the scoops on yours is functional as opposed to the vmax 1200, they put the scoops to look like a jet fighter, but yeah the vmax is a bad ass bike!!! I agree on your comments here, I wish I knew someone that had the diavel X , with a termi exhaust, but that vrod is so beautiful, there is something beautiful about its minimalistic style, if I do get the vrod, I will definitely listen to you and get the wider foot pegs, I ride in Houston, and not many VRods here, which is perfect, if I had the cash I would get all three, I love muscle bikes. how many miles where on your vrod before you let go of her? And did you have to do valve service at 15k miles on your v rod? on your vmax now you feel that you can ride it for longer then a hour? Lol sry for so many questions man, your the only guy on KZread that has the exact experience on the exact bikes I like lol. I enjoy your videos.

I would say the Vmax is more comfortable than the Vrod. The pillion seat although I never had anyone on it the Vmax is more comfy. Harley has an optional really cool backrest that doesn’t detract from the looks of the bike though. With the Vmax I’m pretty sure no one makes a cool looking backrest. Also the Vmax has horrible fuel range while the Vrod is among the best for muscle cruisers. Vrod even with pipes and a tune gets way better gas mileage 35-37 mpg with 5 gallons of fuel capacity vs 4 gallons fuel capacity for the Vmax and 20-25 mpg. If you ride with a cruiser group most of the time I’d get a Vrod you’ll fit right in and have the fastest bike. If your a Lone Ranger and don’t mind stopping for gas every 80 miles get a Vmax. The Diavel is slower than a Vmax it’s no where as brutal. The only reason the Diavel is even in the same ballpark is that it doesn’t spin the back tire as violently as the Vmax. Here’s my review of my Vmax just watch the first minute to see how incredible the power is kzread.info/dash/bejne/d4Sks9prnrC7fdI.html As far as the 15k valve adjustment my Harley dealer told me if it doesn’t tap don’t mess with it! You can email me to for any other info you might need. Pros cons etc... paulk.asemaster@gmail.com P.S I have a 2020 ZX14r as well if I didn’t mention that before. Also nobody ever keeps a Diavel for long I noticed ..whereas Vrods and Vmax people hold on to them. The styling is very polarized for me the one sided swing arm with a 240 tire just looks dorky to me on a so called cruiser or even naked bike. Don’t get me wrong I love one sided swing arms on Ducati sportbikes and Vfr’s etc...like the Vfr1200f I had a while. But not on this bike plus swingarm attached rear fender and no tail section just the seat ...just looks too weird to me. People would compliment my Vrod Muscle nobody says nothing to me on my Vmax lol. Vrod hands down the best looking of the bunch

I have a street rod. Same motor. Yes, it will do 140 plus. If had a different gear ratio and another gear and motor has the power to push further. However, the wind becomes a real issue at that speed. It's scary. Does not take long to get there though. That being said, Paulk Master, I have a Vance and HInes "Compressor" on mine with a PCV and as you so aptly showed in the video the low end sound is excellent. Nevertheless, in 3rd gear at 75 to 85 it screams in a way like no other bike out there. I love it!

+aeneis116 good comment I love the night rod as well as my Vrod muscle I hit the rev limiter at about 135-138 mph and yes it is damn scary wind blast is enormous in contrast my old m109r hit speed limiter not rev limiter at indicated 142mph but the speedometer is bogus because it always lost top speed contests with my friends 2012 Vrod Muscle which was exactly like my 2016 muscle same mods. But in contrast the wind blast was less but had a scary high speed wobbles so it too was frightening. Please keep in touch my fellow Rod owner. It wasn't easy giving up my M109r but I'm still glad I did for the Vrod it's faster funner and sounds better but the big Suzuki was a better all around bike. ✌️
