I enjoy seeing the advanced techniques, great to see how you can use AP speedpaint to create high quality results
Nice. I would like to see an official warpaint complimentary colours for speedpaints. I new to painting and it would help understand getting to the next step😊

Dear Amy painter, having just received my speedpaint 2.0 starter set i wanted to express my appreciation although not sure how so i thought to comment on a video. The paints were amazing including the metallics which surprised me. However my biggest surprise was the free brush included. It is actually an incredibly useful brush and had become my new favourite brush. I expected a cheap rubbish brush so i was truly amazed. The paints went over a zenithal highlight beautifully and using them as glazes over traditional painting also worked amazing. Due to how impressed i was i now am ordering the mega set of the new fanatic line. I am very excited. I also wanted to thank you for the booklet. The tips and information about colours truly helps and i keep it nearby to reference as i paint or plan out my scheme. Almost no one mentions how great the little booklet is. 👌👍 Great job and i highly recommend these paints.

Thank you! We're glad you're enjoying them so much :)
Wow.. I've been calling my speedpainting technique tabletop + for months because I've been doing this exact technique. It looks so good and is rather fast. Wish I had coined the term....lol
LETS GO ARMY PAINTER!!!!
This is a very useful resource! I really appreciate how you've identified specific warpaints used as tonal appropriate highlights for the speedpaint basecoat. More advice like this please.
Mange takk! /🇸🇪
Nice!! I am slowly collecting the speed paint 2.0 range
Man... for organic materials like clothes and hair speed paints do a fantastic job. Also Thomas is awesome, so there's that ;)
This is the way.
I'm trying to sell this to my family 😂 . But seriously, did you see that brush? Ooh. That's a sexy brush.
I would really like to see Tyranid Hive Fleet Cetu and Typhon done with all speed paints.
ITS ABOUT TO GET NUTS😁😁😁😁😁
Beautiful work
Just bought the full Speedpaint 2.0 range. Gonna use some of these suggestions to make my Elder Scrolls models pop.
Love this paint job.
Great job here can’t wait to get mine 🥰😍
I wish The Army Painter could expand their market to Brazil and South America

It's something we are talking about in-house, but right now our resources are focused on other exciting projects that we need to focus on first.
Would you happen to know what the models were primed with?

Colour Primer Matt White
I love my speedpaint, however sometimes I wish there was also an image online or on the bottle of what it actually looks like both in recesses and raised areas since some colours are not exactly true to the colour indicator on the bottle

Are you working on reformulation of your regular acrylic line? Several other brands have reformulated their paint, and this new generation seems to be on another level in terms of pigmentation, coverage, and smooth application.

The thing I struggle with from a beginner perspective, is when to use Speed Paints and when to use regular Acryllic paints.

Each type of paint is like a different tool in a toolbox. It takes time and experience to get a feel for which paint should be used for different situations. Speed paints tend to be faster for base layers because of how they flow, and they can also be applied very thinly as a glaze to tint areas of the model. Regular acrylic can be used for highlights like is shown in the video, and is better for precise details since it won't flow as much as a Speed Paint would.
I want to know which colors did you used for priming. Just white or zenithal priming?

Just Colour Primer Matt White for this one.
DELIGHTFUL! By the way I have a local mom and pop shop that just opened here that does army games, board games, DND, and card games... I'm wondering how much it would cost to get them a small paint rack with the army painter line... I havent spoked to them yet about it... curious about costs was thinking of trying to do it in secret maybe gofundme the money to buy them a partial rack and help them launch their Hobby Nights off with some thing special.

We do not make a "small" rack but our distributors have great programs for retailers to get started with the range.

Hi, please a suggestion. I have many old colors that I cannot use for some years. Now I moved my colors to my son and colors aren’t dry but are more dense. What do you suggest me? I should add some drop of medium?
@TheArmyPainter

Medium always helps! Try the Airbrush Medium, a couple drops at a time until you have your preferred consistenty.
Any discount codes for army painter sets ?
Thanks for this vidéo. Can you tell me what is the primer color ? Spray or Air Brush ?

Nicely done. Highlighting seems to be my weak point for finishing a model.

Nice work. Army Painter speedpaint 1.0 was the absolute worst though.
I spent over $100 on AP Speed Paints. I feel betrayed by your introduction of Speed Paints 2.0. A real company would issue a product recall rather than just admitting to their customers "Oops, We screwed up. Sucks to be you early adopter" Maybe a great product but I feel screwed over.

I'm sorry that you feel betrayed with your purchase of our highly successful Speedpaints as that's certainly not our goal. With the initial launch of Speedpaint, we believe that we created the best one-coat solution on the market. We still stand by that. The product was not defective and did what we designed it to do. When we decided to add more colours to the range, by large demand of our customers, fans, and retailers - we also took the opportunity to see if we can make the range even better. Much like model years with cars, shoes, sporting goods, etc. - sometimes change is good. We are proud of the first generation of Speedpaints and we're happy to have made some small changes to the range, along with adding 66 exciting new colours, with the 2.0 release. The entire process was well documented, transparently, and if you haven't watched it already be sure to visit our KZread channel where we discuss how the Paint Development Team helped us with the product update.
