Oh yeah! The bike is coming out great! We got a warm day here and I'm finally off work, so I'm gonna get some stuff done to my truck. She's all beat up from driving down lease roads. Keep up the great work y'all!

Krylon worked great for painting my chrome. I left the painted parts out in the summer sun to "cure" for about two days before reinstalling them so the paint would not be soft and scratch easily. Patience and planning was key!

Agreed patience is the most important part, prepping and cleaning correctly is important. I love krylon fusion.

Thanks for putting in the time for this video. I'm getting ready to black out some chrome on my '97 Heritage. Engine parts and non engine. How does this process hold up? I'm guessing you've done this process before.

Yes I have done this many times and it works great. I use a ceramic wash and detailer so I’m sure that helps too

How can you start “you can’t paint chrome, it just doesn’t work” to “im gonna show you the actual way”

@@scotthalfback3297 I said you can’t JUST paint chrome. Then I explained all the people with their flaked off paint from not doing it correctly. I made an updated video recently, shorter more detailed.

Hello, after sanding the chrome off what did you paint it with? Also primer and then paint?

If it’s something that gets hot like engine or exhaust, I use that high temp “grill paint” it’s flat and works great as a primer. For anything else the “krylon fusion paint and primer” 5x works great.

How did this paint job hold up...? I'm just not sure the 180 grit is coarse enough to make the paint stick on the chrome, especially without using an acid primer. It looks really cool btw...!!

check out this video about a year later, still looks the same. 180 is perfect anymore course than that you will leave scratches. kzread.info/dash/bejne/eoOomsVtad2rqbg.htmlsi=zDVgnvJy4u7P_84y
