Job well done! Love the work you’ve both done on the painting/cleaning-up of the stables! The acreage looks so different, from when you initially purchased the property. The grounds are gorgeous … it looks like a paradise! So proud you’re doing the work yourselves and not farming it out! Take a bow … you both should be proud of your efforts!

Idk is it just me..but doing works around house, gardens and so on yourself is just so much fun and it's so rewarding. I avoid hiring specialists. XD

Yes absolutely, it’s really good for your mental health too! I think most people hiring professionals don’t have the time, skills or ability to do it themselves and only a minority can afford to hire someone just because they don’t like to do it

Poor little Bear. Glad he's better and will be back with his mates. Big, big improvement on the stables - well done.

Have you ever seen two such different people? Jesse is easy going, things don't need to be perfect. Matt likes things done in a specific way. They say opposites attract. Both beautiful in their own way. The only thing I wish is that they would be more of a couple in the videos. I like to see happy couples. Love them both. Oh and all the horses too. I have to say that Macho is my favorite little one. Emporio (sp?) is my favorite big horse.

Just a little heads up... it's better to peel the tape when the paint is still somewhat wet. It's less likely to dry to the tape and peel the paint off with it. My other thought... why not paint the pipes in front of the posts, the same blue as the building? It would look nice against the white. Or you could paint the pipes white, so you don't really focus on them.

That really came together so nicely. What it misses is some decor. Simple things that isn't problematic for the horses or for keeping it clean. Like some wood for example, maybe some horseshoes or something in metal.

*Matt, Well done... Yep always start at the top and work your way down. What I do with handles, is completely take them off so that you paint the whole door.... then leave the handles off for 5 days to allow the paint to harden, then screw all the handles back on again. You can actually screw them on but leave them loose so the handle itself doesn't stick to the paint. Yes even if it is water-base paint or oil-base enamel paint. That way you never get any paint on the handles etc.... and I do the same around light & power outlet switches and all ceiling lights as well.*

The doors look great. Just a sergestion maybe if you put metal trim on the bottom it will look good and protects the bottom of the doors from rotting like what you've got on the stable doors 🤗

Looks great! Instead of the messy tarps, you can buy a roll of brown paper (ish) to use around the floors to protect them! They're available in hardware stores! Saves time and it's made for that job! Your place is looking fantastic!

I would like to see fairy lights and beautiful lighting. It looks great so far. No other suggestions.

Tip for the roof: use a big roller on a stick to do the roof. It saves you a lot of strain in your arms, back and neck. It looks great anyways guys!!!

Love the greenery/rose? growing up the side of thebuilding, on a trellis. Makes the dark colour pop, and gives a traditional Euro look, that works with the house and garden. Speaking from an Aussie perspective, anyway! It's different to Gum trees and Bottlebrushes😁!

I don't know if you get Purina feed over there - I had my Mini mares react to the West Nile Virus shots( USA ) and foundered as a result - I fed them Purina Mini and Pony feed - it has less starch in it and is geared for their metabolism- I also worked on a Standardbred Breeding farm where we powerwashed and steam cleaned our stalls 2x a year - 144 stalls - after foaling season for the yearlings to come in for sales and after yearlings for the foaling mares

I always take the tape off right away, after you’re done painting.. Otherwise the paint could seep down, as it’s drying and not give you the perfect line. But great job, looks brand new
