Really nice job Christopher, Thanks very much. It's nice to see you using the Frank Herring Compact Palette which must be one of the best on the market. I put some mountboard off cut over the thumb hole and put another four full pans in making it up to sixteen full pans, which for a palette this size is fantastic, truly compact. Take care, David.

Very nice result 👏👏👏 Can I ask what size paper do you usually work on? I’m just starting to get to a point where I want to frame some of my work and realised you can’t get off the shelf frames with mattes for the paper sizes I paint.

Thanks very much. I usually use a quarter sheet for my demos (15x11”) It is difficult to find mattes for this size, although a framer can make one for you. Another option is to buy the matte first, then paint to fit it.

There are some good online custom framers also, with nice selections of mattes and frames. And if you generally paint on the same size paper, you can always switch out the paintings.
