@@Whiteboardcoder i just finished the primer coat today and doing the paint coat tomorrow. Boy, you weren't kidding about the ceiling. That was horrible! It is pretty high, and i am not looking forward to doing it again. Thanks again for this video...it really helped me out with buying all those odds and ends. Take care.

Nice. I love how you didn't paint over the wood framing around the garage doors. That's what I'm planning to do when I paint my garage white, I want some natural wood color instead of everything just white.

Oooh man you should definitely use a paint sprayer!!! Would save you soooo much time.

Yeah sometimes you realize that painter is really not overcharging. Of course I did a thick long lasting job and you may have to specify exactly what you want and pay a little more for higher quality primer and paint

Painted an entire 2 car gar garage with one gallon on a regular basis. That is unprimed. Not sure how you used 10 gallons but hey it looks great nice job.

Hi Patrick, thank you so much for the video. Can’t wait to do this to my garage once I move in. Just a question for ya. How many coats did you apply the primer and paint? I think from your video, I got one coat of each?

I did one coat of primer but I put it on pretty thick

I hv red color fire code some kind of caulk which is uneven and rough is it okay to paint over it ?

Did you use the same paint for the inner door frame?

How long did this take you?

Did you have to use primar then paint over the primar

No, but I did paint the primer on pretty thick on my first coat so I would not have to do a second

I like it a lot. Works for me in the garage just fine :)

240 sq ft. per gallon? That's like a 20 x 12 surface....How could you use a whole gallon of paint on that small of an area? I'm just thinking about a quart of paint I bought the other day which says it covers 450 sq. ft. This may be an overly optimistic estimate, but it's Waaaaaay off 240 sq. ft per gallon. I'm scratching my head.... Maybe you mean 1 gallon per 240 sq. ft. of floor space (which includes all 3 garage walls and ceiling)?

No I mean actual wall square footage. Now remember these walls are bare dry wall so it sucks up the paint like no other. Also I put it on thick because I do not want to be out there doing it again :)

@@Whiteboardcoder Hmmm... It just seems like you couldn't put in on thick enough to use that much paint without "doing it again" anyway (using multiple coats). I think I bought 1 gallon for my one car garage (appx 425 sq. ft of paintable surface not including ceiling which was a different color.) which, I grant you was primed first, but you primed first too, right? Maybe I need to re-listen. I think I may have been thrown off by your initial numbers and not sure if I caught how much was paint and how much was primer.
