I really enjoyed your honesty in this video, its not often we hear the doubts of the artists as they create the wonderful pieces we see. I have been there myself & I like to see the true struggle develop ibto a final work we are proud of! This turned out really gorgeous! a spectacular piece of art... & I hope my buffet im planning on transforming soon turns out anywhere near as good.

I love this piece so so much!!! It all works from the addition of rollered pattern, colors on the carved details applied with a knife, dark wax for dimension, and finally to the upcycled drawer pulls. What a feast for the eyes!

You did it!!! Slightly different ratios, more yellow, less hot pink, but you made it colorful and vibrant! Yay!!! I have some wall decor plaques i might use to follow your process. It's fun to use wild colors!!!

I am self taught. I’ve been painting a long time so a lot of it is just experimenting and learning as I go. Of course I pick up bits and pieces of technique or product info from other artists.

Thank you. I’ve had that stain pad forever but you should be able to find those at any big box hardware store. I believe mine is a lamb skin staining pad

DIY Paint is a clay based paint. It is similar to a chalk paint.

So is that water in your spray bottle and do you let each spot that you paint dry and then go back over?

Yes it is just water. I let everything dry before going back in for the second coat. I’m not sure if I answered your question

I completely agree my work isn’t for everybody. With all of my videos I try to provide education or exposure to new techniques or tools. It’s more important for me to expose viewers to something new or different than to make something for others to produce an exact copy. I’m so happy you liked the tutorial aspect over the outcome. That’s my goal!! ❤️
