Painting and Weathering Grimdark 40k terrain

In this video I will try shed some light on my favorite weathering techniques, and try to explain the reasoning and considerations behind them. The goal here is to present you with potentially new ideas that you can then adopt, or not, into your own workflow.
This is my first hobby video, so bear with me. Any feedback is much appreciated!
Very special thank you to Sebastian Kling, who offered to produce this background music track just for me! He has also produced awesome music for the Midwinter Minis channel, so please, go check his stuff out.

Really enjoyed the video. I think you need to show some real speed application of techniques so one can view the actual technique being applied. After a while I almost felt nauseous with the speed and movement of everything.

Thanks for taking these comments into consideration. I loved this video, but would really have appreciated some slower, more focused shots on the individual techniques. I have some painting experience and could mostly follow along with just the commentary, but there were a few times I would like to have seen exactly what and how you were doing them. Awesome 1st video, I have sub'd to your channel and look forwars to seeing future videos. Great stuff, thanks for sharing, and keep on keeping on!!

As others mentioned, the speed of the video was a bit too fast and made this at times a bit hard to watch. However, this is still a fantastic video with a lot of great information - I can't wait to pick up a brush and get started on my own terrain backlog after watching this! I also checked out your Instagram and must say your terrain color schemes are great and your basing is absolutely top-notch; you couldn't go wrong with a follow-up video covering either of these areas

Great video, would love to see each of the techniques in more detail, potentially a bit slower and closer up, so maybe focussed on base colours, weathering those, then metallics, weathering the metallics, like a mini series or something?

Thank you for a thorough video with a ton of useful information. Good timing too, since I’m trying to power through my first terrain project w’ the OG Warcry terrain. Don’t have all the material yet, like oil washes etc. But making decent results w’ what I have and even mixing some home brew washes... Keep up the great work, can’t wait for more content and see you on the other side!

Great Job! Very nice production and beautiful scenery. The narration/instruction was concise but sounded natural and at ease. Im thinking English isnt your first language so double props. Pacing over all was good. Not a lot of ground breaking or new techniques to me but I've watched 8 or 10 other videos on this subject. Liked the listed paints you used and the level of detail on the techniques. You make it very accessible. All in all I'd recommend this video to a noob for terrain weathering before any others on the subject. Keep em coming!

This is a brilliant video thank you. I didn't really have a use for that new terrain piece but after seeing this I've bought the alchomite stack to combine with it. I'm still a bit unsure what colour to do my scenery as I want to avoid a grey scheme.

What color did you prime the terrain before starting with the blue? To me it looks like you airbrushed the base coat and maybe the mid tones, but in the video it says you stippled the mid tones. How did you get the blue and yellow to be so smooth?
