I'm glad you had such a positive experience painting from life Ana. I told you it's magical and just a different level of connection when compared to painting from a photo. I'm also not against painting from photos, as sometimes its our only option, but I want to paint from life as much as possible going forward.

dear Ana, how lovely it feels to hear u share the joy u got out of this painting; how beautiful indeed your treasured still life painted from life. (note: wish u would speak less wiith a mind edited voice and more following your authentic heartbeat, just as u paint more directly now!) ... questioning the direct eye connection to the given composition VS via a digital or film reproduction of it seems solid proof u got stronger art muscles. Excellent rendering, seeing the teacup half-full! the rose petals as if fallen on the saucer..

The painting came out amazing! I find that painting from a photo I get so carried away with trying to get the details right - that it almost becomes obsessive. I love painting from life now, never thought I’d be able to do it!

I love your art!! Where did u buy ur still light box?? Or perhaps did u make it?? I've been searching for something and haven't found anything for still lifes.
