G'day Richard. The energy, the power, the dynamic range...and that's just the artist. Another top lesson in playing off the contrast of chunky stillness versus smooth movement. As a photographer and prospective painter, I have learned so much and even in this video, I am reminded of the contrasts in the wave. Looking at the video of waves rolling in, I see the different shades of off-white, grey-white and pure white in the mix with tinges of keyed down blue and green. The wave in the painting captures this beautifully. To the eye, this is a simple scene but in reality, there is much detail and movement to be seen with minimum knife strokes of course. Thanks once again mate, much to digest and ponder here. Cheers, Rich
