In this time lapse video I'll show how I painted this Gorgeous Golden Retriever puppy in acrylics. I'll share tips and techniques for blending acrylics and how to paint soft fur. With this video being sped up you can see how much I have relied on glazes to adjust my colour as I work. This is why I love working with Liquitex Basics because I don't have to worry about mixing the exact right colour when painting my details.

So kind, thank you. I use transfer paper. It keeps everything really neat and tidy which is ideal seeing as I prefer to paint the backgrounds first.
Subscribing to you has been such a good decision for me! I’ve enjoyed this video very much - Huge like, Thanks for all your efforts and energy spent into making this one! What a fine job! ❤️

You are so talented! Beautiful painting again. Do you use white graphite paper? Or something on the back of the print within the outlines. I always smudge on the background

Very beautiful work as always. Do you use any extenders or mediums to slow the drying time or help with glazing or do you strictly use water? Also, how do you go about pricing your commissions being that they take so long to do? Any help is appreciated. Thank you
@zaratomsart
Жыл бұрын
I just use water =). Pricing is tricky and what's right for one artist isn't necessarily right the another. I do discussion this on my Patreon and I have some posts there that explain what my pricing strategy was when I first start taking commissions. That may be useful. Its to long to write in a comment so I'll look at creating a post about it on my Community tab here on KZread =)
Hello I love your painting !🤩 i would be happy to know how do you do your glazing. THANK YOU 🙏
@zaratomsart

Thank you =). I just thin my paints with water to create my glazes.
did you use a stencil for the pattern?
do you clean your blending brush often during one session? Do you wet it or use a dry brush to blend?
@zaratomsart

The large make up type brushes? If so, no I have multiple ones of those because once they are wet they won't blend.

Thank you that's really kind ❤. I use white wax free transfer paper. I recommend either sketching your outline freehand on a sheet of normal printer paper or tracing if freehanding is a skill anyone is looking to improve. Place the transfer paper under your outline but ontop of your canvas and then use an embossing stylus tools to go over the sketch outline. It will then transfer that onto your surface. I always recommend this because its neat and any mistakes done when free handing can be erased on that paper rather than the canvas. It's just much easier =)

@@zaratomsart I do it that way, but get stains from the paper on my background 😅
@zaratomsart

@@astridtermaat3854 Is it patches of the transfer paper where maybe you have leant on it with your fingers and it's transferred the white chalk to a part of your background you don't want? If so you can remove that with just a brush with a small amount of water on :). It lifts up easily most of the time.
