It's all about the planning and technique. Working out which bits need the time and which bits you can bypass or use a shortcut.

Yet another great video Josh! I've always put off attempting to build/paint an army as it can take ages. This video may have given me that little bit of motivation I needed to have a crack at it finally 💪🤘👍☺️

Aaaah yes, the quality of quantity combined with a brilliant paint scheme. All of it done in a stress free relaxing manner. The true purpose of the hobby. Well that and making sure you have three colours on your figures in the next tournament.

See as much as I dont like the look of most of the new tyranids myself, youve done a cracking job, and really enjoyed the video too, well done mate :D

From the thumbnail I expected yet another speedpaint Leviathan video, since all you influencers got a shiny new set from GW for free. But this was a nice detour. I like a poppy army colour scheme as well. My 40k Orks tend to look a bit cartoony with their colours, but that’s how I like them. Green and popping on the tabletop. And when you’ve got loads of them on the table, they look even better. Thank the cheerleader effect for that.

@@ThePickleJar Yeah. The box lasted 4 minutes at the discount retailers, and a couple of days at GW. My preferred store got 1000+ copies of Leviathan (which they sold in 4 minutes), but were allocated 4 copies each of Gallowfall and Ashes of Faith. Those two boxes really need a) a statement from GW, and b) a Made to Order run.

I've done my tau In the same colour scheme, what a funny coincidence.

I like to do something different with my miniatures. There are plenty of people that can show you how to paint them sensibly so I figure let's go crazy and have some fun instead haha

Incredible output for 10ths work - they look great! More importantly, as they’ve been finished so quickly, will this encourage you to game with them?

ends up in a really flashy, sort of comic book vibe with the color scheme, seriously pops

Thanks very much! For airbrushing I have a Hseng compressor with tank (the generic one most people seem to have) and then for my airbrushes I have the Squidmar H&S airbrush with a 0.3 needle and the Cult of Paint H&S with a 0.2 needle. I usually run it at around 30 PSI

I also haven't painted Tyranids since starting 40K in 3rd edition. I'm hesitant to paint mine, but they are painted and primed when the time comes.

Cool paint scheme, kinda reminds me of a drumstick chew bar, if ya no ya no 😎

These look awesome. Absolutely loving the colour combo. There's a brightness that harks back to Eavy Metal paint schemes of the 80s and 90s and I'm all for it. Lots of cool tips and advice. Looking forward to the next project.

only thing i'd add to these is a thin maybe black/brown/red/purple(?) wash to separate the armour plates a ittle,

The only opinion that really matters is the person that painted them. (Unless it's for a customer) My two cents, they look great 👍

I have a box of Tyranids I've been meaning to paint up for a while, and I guess the arrival of 10th edition is as good of an excuse as any for me to start another army,

@@ThePickleJar Thanks, I ended up using zealot yellow (flesh), purple alchemy (carapace), plasmatic bolt (brain) and some crusader skin (tentacles). I'd say it's one or two shades darker compared to your scheme but pretty neon, still. I kinda love the idea of bright, f*cking Nids running wild. They don't need stealth to win.

Lovely job Captain Pickle, never painted a Tyranid either...look like fun models!

Josh, summat I've wondered about for a while - what's the difference between the two pronged nozzle and the full cup type nozzle on an airbrush? You seem to get better control with yours than I do with the nozzle on or off - may be just that you are better than me (which you are but we can pretend). Cheers and sorry I missed you at UKGE but spotting a hairstyle in 25000+ people is tricky.

I honestly have no idea between the two nozzles. I've always used the 2 prong one because that's what was fitted when all my airbrushes have arrived. Since seeing this comment I've had a go with the other nozzle and the only difference I've noticed is its more of a faff to clean
