Painted Peonies with watercolor and Stabilo fineliners finishing touches. I was having a hard time trying to paint peonies in watercolor, then caught a flow, meaning that this session flowed, each brushstroke, technique used, and color choice blending together and creating an enjoyable painting process. Moments like these keep me painting! Wanted to share my process for painting a grouping of peonies. Painted on an Arches Travel Journal with Silver Ruby Satin Brushes. I used Daniel Smith Watercolors and soft and slow layers to build up these loose watercolor florals. Finishing touches were added with Stabilo 88 Fineliners.
