Paint Pour Bliss art kit REVIEW

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

This is an unsponsored review of the Paint Pour Bliss art kit review from Five Below stores. For only $5, it's got a lot in it BUT may be more trouble than it's worth.

Thank you for this review. I’ve seen those kits and wondered if they were any value. I think for my granddaughter, who loves to help me with my art. Thank you again, Donna Ps. I love seeing your videos come up on my KZread bulletins!

If u used water to get ur paints to an appropriate consistency for pouring, or water and floetrol(even better) and also add a base layer of paint (white in most cases) to ur canvas to allow your colorful paints to slide around more easily. Also so u don't have to move and mix your colorful paints as much to cover ur entire canvas with paint.

I just got the blue and purple ones ordered but I'm going to use them on wood boards I have and mix in the paints I already have. Really not expecting much out of them but I mean, yours didn't turn out horrible.

Thanks for the review. I would Love to see it done with adding water to thin down the paint. If that worked then I would buy it for my grandson.

Adding water can make the color more transparent so be careful with doing that.

It was about a month later that the Five Below near me got these kits in. Week 1 the blue kits were gone, so I bought 1 pink, next week they had lots of blue ones and I bought one of those. I just finished my fourth effort and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. Here are some pictures of the pink kit and the store in my neighborhood. artwrinkles.blogspot.com/2019/12/paint-pour-bliss.html

Hhmm...unfortunate that they didn't give you some instructions. You should have watered down the paints with water before adding silicone. Too much silicone will give you the opposite results that you may be looking for. (eg - no cells)

Thank you for the review. I would never purchase something like that if you can’t actually “pour” the paint. Was there any suggestion for adding water to the paint, or floating it on water? Cause that paint is really too thick to pour. Great video. Love that you do it so I don’t have to!

    The kit includes silicone oil

Juat an fyi for everyone try instead putting the silicone oil directly into the paint bottles and shaking those instead....it actually lets the paint do what its supposed to

I was actually wondering if that would be a better idea. I'll do that when my kits come in, thank you!

I wonder if mixing in a little water would help?

Yes, yes it would. Paint is too thick.

I'm not sure why you need a kit. Buy cheap acrylic pain, some canvas board, use Dixie cups and you're ready to go. You do not need silicone. The whole point of pour method is to POUR, not to glob it on. Watch one of the zillion tutorials on line. Just pour one color in a cup, then another, then another until your done then pour the entire cup onto the board. It's foolproof. The only thing you need to do is MAYBE water down the acrylic paint if it is too thick before putting it into the pour cup. The only reason you need silicone is to make cells and for kids, you don't need cells. These kits are a money grab. Probably cost all of a buck to make.

Great review. Not a great product, or maybe a poor purpose for the product. That truly doesn't look like good paint for pouring

Everyone is being so polite. The paint was terrible. Gloopy and ugly colors to boot. It did not work for the purpose of the kit. Also why would we recommend poor products for children? Not cool. In my experience, low skilled people actually have a better time with quality products. I think a skilled and experienced paint pouring artist would know how to alter this kit to get better results. I wouldn’t bother with this kit; it will just become guilt inducing clutter and I bet you already have enough of that.

I agree. I'm still fairly amateur with this but Ive experienced enough & my first thought was I'll add floetrol to thin it out a bit cuz that's so much silicone. This is why when someone sees me doing it and is interested I'll offer to let them try it with my stuff and they love it but if they bought this kit they'd be lost and hate the experience.

When i did my first pour painting it worked perfect. I used my cheapest acrylic paints, made sure they were watered-down so they would pour good and I did not need ANYTHING else! No silicone, no nothing! You don't need fancy chemicals, just nice pourable paint to make a beautiful picture.
