Paint Play: Adding & Subtracting
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Adding.... adding..... adding.... more... more.... more.... until something gives me an idea or there's something that I like the look of that gives me a feeling of certainty that I'm onto something. I'm sure you know the feeling.
Then once I've found the 'thing' or group of things then it's time to apply LESS IS MORE. So I'll start to edit and take away what I don't need.
This is basically the process I use in all my work: Add, add, add... then subtract.
Watch the Vlog to see.

Very interesting, Judy!
7:20 that red you add on the left hand side! Fascinating how it intantly turns that area and the opaque yellow and green shapes into one very large shape.
Love it!!!!!❤
You are such amazing artist. 🥰
Love this Judy! And I think what I really love is that you kept at it. I probably would have walked away long before you - so there's a lesson here for me! Be well.
Wow❗️❗️. I’m amazed💜💜💜💜

Thank you so much 😀
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely, brilliant painting process. Could you help explain and describe: When you say you like or love something, Could you say with with more words and describe why you like or love something better? Or explain why it is you don't like or love something - differences in line, shape, color, texture etc . . . Pointing at a section and saying . . . what is it that makes you like or love it more? What is it that makes you happy about your work besides it being fun to create? Your process truly helps inform my teaching. Thank you so much Judy. You are so kind!
So helpful! :)

Glad it was helpful!
Do you periodically let the paint dry before changing to a new color?

yes of course. Acrylic dries quite quickly.
