I believe Ren said he and Romaine lived together for 6 years. Can you imagine all the jam sessions! Ren said that his girlfriend moved out and then he was looking for someone to rent a room from him. A very strange guy came that would have been a terrible roommate. That was a big no. Then Romaine came and compared to the other guy he was an instant yes. Ren had been busking solo and maybe Romaine was too. I don’t remember that detail. So they started busking together. Fans on the street kept telling them they needed a band so they formed one. Ren and Romaine were saying they never had a real fight the whole time. Considering how much the 2 of them just love music it is no wonder they play in such perfect sync with ease. Living together they probably played all the time. This interview was in Dec and they clearly appear to be the best of friends.

Your personalities are a pleasure to experience. I first caught your reaction to Hi Ren and had to share your spontaneous delight with my wife (who does not watch reaction video's normally), and she loved what you guys produced. Personally, I watch all your reactions, enjoying ahead of time a certain amount of anticipatory glee to your first listens. Consider me subscribed. 74 year old French guy who can't get enough.

I'm with you about them using bigger amps. As a bass player I just want to wheel my Ampeg 8x10 AKA The Fridge into the crowd and when they're not looking just plugging it in haha. But I wonder if there only alppwed to use amps of a certain size because I've seen one guys page who recorded alot of Ren and The Big Push Busking videos called "Brightons Best Buskers" or something like that and none of them had amps or cabinets bigger than the ones The Big Push uses. That or it's just a pain in the cheeks lugging huge equipment around. Who knows how parking is for unloading and loading equipment ect. There's a video of The Big Push love at the Brighton Bowl that's Brightons biggest arena and that video is over an hour long and there they have all the good equipment and the show sounds amazing! LOVE Don talking about Jamming...sat in ALOT of Jam sessions & most times the Jam session was WAY better than stripped down diluted version the record company made them record..."
