    The traceable is great so that everyone can feel like they can achieve the cabin, so very nice to include that! And great palette knife touches on the old barn for the old weathered planks and roof. Wonderful, and yep, the Indian yellow is such a warm color! 🥰

  • @PaulRansonArt

    @PaulRansonArt

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi thank you for watching and leaving a lovely comment. I had to watch the video again to remind myself LOL. The branches were a thinned mixture of black with a little burnt umber. But any brown with a hint of black will work. Try a few test branches and if you dont like them use a sponge to dab them out. Its a very forgiving painting 🤗 And 'yes' for linseed oil. Its a bit thinner so apply it very sparingly and maybe even blot off the excess. Dry clean your brush very well as its likely to soak you canvas with oil when you add colour. - Happy Painting 😍

    Thank you for this video! I love doing acrylic first then oil. I am also finding I have a hard time with the angles so this was golden. I have a silly question. • @PaulRansonArt

    It's a great question, Lisa. I sometimes add just a tiny drop of water to the sponge if it's very dry and hard. I've found that after being used for a while they do harden a little probably old acrylic drying in the sponge. But only just a drop. Have a great time painting this and let me see the results on the FB page🤗🤗

    Hi George, thanks for stopping by and watching. In part I agree with you. I'm trying to present both Bob's technique and to offer alternatives to anyone strugling to get the tecnique to work. As Bob said 'its one step on the foot ladder and just a way to get started' He positively encouraged everyone to develop their own style. If you look at more of my videos you'll find some that use Bob's technique throughout. - Happy Painting
