That's a cool little car. It turned out great. It's funny, been such a little body, but so much work. 👍 Before i watched this video, i was watching a video where the guy painted a whole body and also used liquid mask. So, the first second i saw your body in pink, i noticed it was too thin. Glad you said it yourself and hey, it's with making such 'mishaps' that you learn for the next time. That's also part of the hobby. At the end it's the result and satisfaction that count.

It looks great and that was a heck of a hard paint job to do. I can see why folks get stalled out working on it and avoid painting it. I have never had to one that involved with lining up colors on the clear and hard parts like that. I think you did a great job with it and gave a lot of good tip to those dragging their feet on paint theirs! I have never used the liquid mask myself, I need to get some and give it a try. I know some folkd have gotten the super cheap trim spray gun from harbor freight to spray it with instead of painting it on. Looking forward to the next adventure!

Always thought that car was a horrible sticker job. But apparently its a massive paintjob instead LOL. I think you really nailed it, the liquid mask is perfect for that kind of paintjob. And even slightly wobbly lines will just disappear once you slap on some stickers and other details. Deffo with all those hard plastic parts, thats a shlefer, perhaps some careful driving. :D

In other words a set of marks at the front and another set of line at the back then using ur ruler connect the dot by drawing a line from front to back then following that line with ur tape. If any of my 2 comments make sense😂😂 either way. Super cool car and paint job.and I think ur right the back wheels need to be jammed out to fill up the wheel arches

When u made ur lines for the stripes on top of the car at the grill and at the back. I thought u was going to use ur bendable ruler to connect the dots and draw a line from front to back instead of trying to use the tape to make ur straight line and let ur ruler do it

  • @rcicons4915

I ended up making 4 sets of marks keeping the leftover space on the sides equal. Top front and back. Hood front and back. Then either tape or ruler to connect the dots with a pen. That way the stripes stay the same width all the way through.
