That's bad ass. I wish I could build a track like that. Excellent job man.
Nice job! Where is this place and where did you get the clay? I'm tired of chasing weeds in my own backyard and contemplating on chasing my childhood dream of having a track in my own backyard. But no way I'm doing it myself! I'm hiring people!
Hey Keith, oh wow! Some great Kyosho additions to your wonderful originals collection. They are presented so nicely. Enjoy my good friend. Best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
Hey Keith, that was an amazing action from the trio of Tamiya 4WD’s. David’s Terra Scorcher looked great out there, along side your Hotshot that DF-01 was quick with that hot motor. 😊😊best wishes to you and the family 😊😊
I know Carrera from the slot cars they did - never knew about RC cars from them.
The Pro110 was sold as a kit. In that kit were three containers of different weights of oil to tune the shocks. It was all about the shocks for that car. The gear mesh was always a little sketchy, For racing, we'd simmer the nylon gears in water to soften them and then meld them. You'd only get one race out of that gear but it was fire.
Hey Keith, David did an amazing job of the awesome Terra Scorcher, you also did him proud with the amazing paint job. Awesome work. Oh my wife is Italian, think she’ll have lots to say if I was to build a RC kit, whilst on holiday though 😂🙏😂😊😊best wishes to you and the family. 😎🖐️😉
Great haul as always mate. Do you have the Progress? They’re like unicorn turds but I’m sure if anyone can find one it’s you. Cool video brother.
Awesome. Those vintage blister pack kits cannot be beaten for presentation.
Very awesome kits and both in mint condition. Thanks for sharing Keith.
Awesome!
What is the issue with the oil? Kits back then and today's kits are shipped all over the world with the oil included.
So glad the Salute had the decals, I was freaking out for you LOL 😂
Keith, I don't comment often. I love Kyosho nib kits, more vids like this pls! The limiter (counter/ reduction) gear came in two versions...OT27 was for the Opt and Jav...OT74 was for the Tur Opt and Salute...if I'm not mistaken. There were two variants of pn OT74....Spring and spring type washers. The former owner knew what he/she was doing when they ordered a spare...they wanted both variants. There was also a counter gear with a pin to hold it to the shaft (Opt Pro I think). Although I believe all the gears may have been put with different kits. In the 80's everything got jumbled. The manuals tell the full story of what pn goes with what kit...if that makes any sense.
Absalutely wonderful
Wow, you find the coolest stuff Keith
🤩 that salute, thats one car i would love to run at one of the vintage events 😁 nice pair of buggys to add to anyones collection 👌
Nice haul, again! The presentation in 80's kits was just on another level. I think that deserves to be remembered and brought up from time to time.
The coil spring limiter sucks. It causes over time the gear to "tilt" and makes the gearbox run weird. They replaced it later with the wavy washer version, which is superior.
I have the American version of the Ultima Pro and its definitely not an alloy chassis. Its an old school graphite of some sort.
I have a Turbo Optima gold Re-Re. I built it into a Javelin with the white cage. I still went ahead and painted the body box art though. I’ve thought about getting the MCI Salute body and decals. I agree the blue one is the cooler one
Cool looking cars
I love the Salute its so different to what Kyosho were doing at the time! Very unique looking buggy!
Truly hard to beat the looks of the blue box art salute 🤩🤩🤩
UNREAL!
Love the Kyosho kits as much as Tamiya. The blue Salute. Great find. The pro is in my 89 catalog. Not sure when it came out. 💯
If I can remember back in the day i think the salute was Kyosho’s answer to the bigwig when 8.4v batteries started appearing and you can get two versions the blue one and a red/orange version which has a shorter cockpit design but it didn’t have a long manufacturing life so I’m guessing it’s probably a lot harder to find in mint condition🤷♂️
Nice to see the Salute on the bench! I wouldn't have sent it to you unless it was 100% complete...decals and all. I'm watching the video yelling at you to check inside the manual for the decals lol. For anyone interested, a local collector was selling some of his vintage kits, that's how I found it. Right place at the right time. I doubt I will ever see another one. Enjoy it Keith!
Thank you sooo much Erick. Honestly wasn’t a big deal although was happy to find them. Just linked your channel in the description.
@@rcicons4915 Awesome Keith! Thank you. Enjoy your weekend!
Awesome additions to your nib collection!!!
I think you should build them both and run both.
I like the blue and the red one , but I prefer red.
First class vid as always Keith. Love the pro. You will have one of the world's best RC collections of NIB and fully built soon no doubt.
They need to make them aging. Are you going to get the hornet evo?
Thank God you found the decals 😁🙏 great kits for the collection Keith 👏
Great additions to the collection! I would have a very hard time cracking open either one of those and building them so i am glad Erick reached out and hooked you up with the the Salute so you could add it to the NIB collection! Have a great weekend Keith!
Beautiful kits Keith, That Salute looks amazing. Never seen one in the flesh. Glad you finally found the decals. Nice work!
Amazing additions to the collection. I'd love a Turbo Ultima II rerelease. Love those neon green wheels.
Nice
I'll never get that Japanese policy about the oil. It's annoying and frankly it's just theft in my eyes. Painting that salute body is on another level if you want that crisp... my goodness. But cool additions to your collection, Keith!
Love the shell on the salute sounds like it will test your masking skills😅😅
2 more fantastic kits to add to the collection. thankfully you avoided the blister pack getting destroyed. Can't wait until next Saturday to find out what else you've been buying :-)
i think the FRP black chassis was an option part from Kyosho or indeed the USA version, you also had aftermarket TRINITY chassis, It was very well sold from TOWER HOBBIES in the USA. Then you have the ULTIMA PRO XL and later on you had the Turbo ULTIMA II with the Green wheels and same gold shocks but with the KELRON chassis, and those kits are becoming very rare, more rarer then the ULTIMA PRO
I would have lost my mind if they cut the blisters for those shocks 😳😭. Great cars Keith.
Two great looking kits.
My names David too and that was so awesome ❤
