Paint a Patriotic Standing Wood Surface Set with Stencils

In this video, Kari shows how to paint and assemble a standing wood surface set with a patriotic theme. This set was intentionally made to be pumpkins and a fall set, but after some ideas from our #StencilFans, we decided to try it out for 4th of July and make it a multi seasonal project. You'll learn tips on basecoating, pattern stencils and choosing mix and match stencil designs.

What brand of paint are you using.

For the paint, we buy in bulk because we use so much of it. If you find that you are using quite a bit of background colors like white, black, etc. you can use house paint. We use Sherwin Williams Color to Go for most of our colors. For smaller areas and bright and rich colors, DecoArt is a wonderful brand. It can be found in most craft shops and also on Amazon. Also, we do have a color guide! It lists the DecoArt paint number first, then the Sherwin Willams paint number, then our code. I will include the link to this below so that you can see if this is something that might be helpful. Our Paint Color Guide - We have a physical product that comes in two large sticker sheets. And we have a digital copy that can be emailed to you. I’m confused! The eraser used in the video was called a water eraser. The link you send me was to erase pencil not paint. Is it the same thing only you dip it in water?

We do not have a product called a water eraser. The product we use is called a Clic Eraser. It is a PVC eraser. When you use it dry, it does not do anything on your projects. When you use it with water, it can help erase paint mistakes that are still fresh on your project.
