Hi dear Ginger & Jon ! Thank you for being with us even though you are on a cruise at the moment ! You are throughly committed in making sure that we never miss out on tutorials and for that I am ever so grateful to you both as I am sure all of my friends in our art family feel the same ! Your choice of colors this week is absolutely wonderful and I loved seeing you mix so many different shades of blues, greens ...warm and cool colors !! I was thinking how therapeutic it must feel to paint like that and just a couple of minutes later Jon mentioned it as well !! 🥰🤗 It turned out to be so painterly ! I love how the flowers and grass lead your eye into the painting just up to the cottages and then further back into all those beautiful blues and greens ! I always appreciate when you compare the painting on the gray scale !! Well dear Ginger , you have once again gave us an excellent tutorial to help us on our journey in becoming better artists ! Time is moving on....and October is just round the corner ... then I will finally meet You and Jon !!! Yayyyyyy !! 🥰🤗😁🎨🎨🎨Love and HAH .....Lorraine 💕💕🎨🎨

Thanks for another great lesson! So important to look for those shapes, what my grandmother called negative spaces (she liked to draw). Sometimes I look at a reference pic for days before I even start.

Yup this goes onto my long to do list for sure. Thank you Ginger and Jon for creating another fantastic tutorial. TTFN A H

HI!!!! Sorry I missed this tonite, I'm watching now though, hope you're having a great time!!! Love you!!! HAH! (edited: Very pretty impressionist painting Ginger! I'm sure there's a lot of prep going on for these lessons and you and Jon are very much appreciated for all your hard work . Even if I can't get to paint them, I will someday when I'm less busy. But I really enjoy listening to the lessons and your art history knowledge as well as your great advice)

SPEAKING OF PUTTING PAINT ON THE BRUSH, I NOTICE GINGER DOESNT WIPE THE BRUSH VERY MUCH AT ALL ANYMORE. SHE USED TO ALWAYS WIPE HER BRUSH AFTER PICKING UP PAINT. WHY HAS THAT CHANGED?

I think you are not seeing me as the rag is in my lap or off camera What you need to know when painting is that sometimes you need more paint,, especially when laying down under colors,,and as you layer up, wipe more and more.,,,EXCELLENT QUESTION. ART HUGS FROM JON AND ME.
