I don't think Pain would've revealed all 6 of his bodies so quickly. He would've slowly revealed them 1 by 1 as necessary as he did with Jiraiya. Itachi didn't know his secret as far as I know.

There’s a good possibility itachis sharingan would allow him to see the chakra signals being sent to all of the paths of pain, and with his level of intelligence he would probably be able to quickly deduce what exactly was going on

Pain’s powers and abilities makes him very hard to beat but itachi does not only have great powers and abilities, he also is a genius and thats a very deadly combination. Thats why kishimito gave him an illness

I also like Itachi, but sad thing that people ignore fact that there are different types of warriors. Like Jiraya was good in combat vs a lot of opponents, but he will suck as an anbu. Same story goes with Itachi.

@@novomiracle988 Genjutsu won't work on pain, It could on Nagato but not pain Edit: I explain, It's because Pain receives chakra from Nagato, and a genjutsu is made by disturbing the opponent's chakra flow, so to break It you need to have a new chakra flow. For the moment It's only basic Naruto knowledge, no interpretation or what, only repeating what manga says. Now, we know that each pain recieves their chakra from Nagato, They have chakra, so they can be in genjutsu, ok (like Jiraiya did against 3 pain), but as I said their chakra source is Nagato, It means that If one of the path of pain's chakra is affected, Nagato just has to give him a new chakra flow, since Nagato's chakra isn't directly affected (Otherwise Jiraiya would directly caught Nagato in genjutsu, not the 3 pain). It is that way every genjutsu in Naruto were broken, you just need to have a new chakra flow (usually from a partner, so I'm not saying It is easy to break one in 1v1), even Kotoamatsukami was broken like that in 5 kage submit arc. And If 3 pain got caught in Jiraiya's genjutsu, It was probably to make him think he won and make a sneaky attack with the 6 paths, as pain said he won thanks to his secret. For Nagato, idk, People say Rinnegan is immune to visual genjutsu but Idk from what they think that, It can be true but I don't know. Anyway If Nagato gets caught on genjutsu, he can't break It as he can with pain. Unlike pain's corpse, Nagato's chakra is *directly* affected, so creating a new chakra flow is way more complicated and I doubt that without MS Sharingan (=/= Rinnegan) or another chakra source, he can escape a Tsukiyomi for example. Hope I was clear :)

Sasuke had a rennegan and he protected he's team with sussano, and that sussano had the power of six path chakra.

Even if Itachi is basically a pacifist, that doesn't mean that he can't mobilize and adapt in an unnatural situation, especially if the confrontation is a serious one, he prefers most of the time to finish the fights as quickly as possible, that's why Itachi should never be underestimated. Itachi lived his whole life so that Sasuke could defeat him and become an Uchiha hero as well as a hero of the leaf. That, obviously, didn’t go as planned. However, it did allow Sasuke to grow and begin to start asking the right questions that would eventually lead him to becoming the man he (Itachi) wanted him to be. (Itachi was killed so that Sasuke could grow more powerful both as a character (to us in a real world moral sense) and as a Ninja. Itachi from the get go was extremely talented which more precisly means that Itachi just like Minato was pretty much an unique, authentic and especially unpredictable Shinobi which could exceed or overcome almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto himself) In my opinion No One in the series should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). That is why it is arguable/debatable that he probably could or could not defeat foes like Minato, Obito or Pain/Nagato. Itachi was also a prodigy from birth and he knew all sorts of tricks and he's definitely a troublesome fellow to encounter. In my opinion, they are both very versatile, unique, interesting and especially very unpredictable in their way of fighting style approach. If you make an effort to look or to rewatch at all of Itachi's fights, you might discover that he's pretty much always able to outsmart anyone during a fight or a encounter, because of his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach. His way of thinking and his calmness, intelligence and battle IQ experience factor it's very authentic and underrated, his true potential remain still unknown, because he wasn't go all out against anyone during the series.🤷🏻‍♂️☯️ I don't understand how some of you guys even dare or can to underestimate Itachi like that, many of you guys forget that Itachi isn't just any ordinary shinobi either, he is still considered by a very wide range of Naruto connoisseurs to be a very unique and unpredictable character at the same time and no one should underestimate him as some of you guys currently do. ;/ ☯️🤷🏻‍♂️What you have to remember, is that even in his battle with Sasuke, he has been fighting to lose. Itachi has always attempted to avoid conflict at all costs. He has to maintain his cover as an Akatsuki member, so he has to make viable excuses to avoid battle. When he says that fighting Jiraiya would have serious consequences, we know that he has an innate desire not to fight anyone at all, let alone a hero of the leaf, and he was a spy protecting Konoha from shadows. He could have killed Kakashi with ease. Kakashi even states that Itachi could have killed him, and wondered why he didn't. Knowing this, it is easy to see the pieces that point to a picture of Itachi that is devastatingly powerful in combat. In his confrontation with Asuma and Kurenai when he enters Konoha, we see him send Kurenai flying a large distance with a simple kick. We also see him deflect chidori, and snap Sasuke's arm like a twig with a single hand. He also sends Sasuke flying clear down the hallway with another kick in this fight. He is obviously a powerful, versatile, unpredictable and underrated taijutsu user. We know that he can kill with a glance using Tsukuyomi or Amaterasu, and become nearly invincible with his Susanoo. We see him use exploding clones, (it's his one of his unpredictability in his fighting way approach) powerful genjutsu not linked to his sharingan, ( with a single point of a one of his fingers) and making hand seals at insane speeds. He kicks the shit out of Kakashi and he barely moves. Tobi also tells us himself that Itachi could have killed him if it weren't for carefully guarded secrets. Orochimaru beats Tsunade and Jiraiya without the use of his arms. Granted, Jiraiya was drugged, but it's still the point. Orochimaru couldn't use seals at all. Itachi obliterated Orochimaru effortlessly. Itachi has been a step above from the beginning. In order for him to keep his cover in Akatsuki, he had to avoid conflict without arousing suspicion, and the best way to do that was to present himself as being much less powerful than he actually is. The one thing we have been able to see in detail, is his intelligence and unpredictability in his fighting way approach. Itachi has been shown to be able to plan events years in advance, to account for possible flaws in his plans with powerful contingencies, and to use every possibility to his advantage. Shikamaru plans a few hours in advance, and we label him a tactical genius. If that is the case, what does one even call Itachi? The only real flaws that Itachi possesses is a smaller chakra reserves, and his own morality which keeps him from gaining Eternal Mangekyo. But even the chakra is arguable. The techniques we see him use are enormously powerful, and would therefor have a huge chakra cost. I'm not going to say he is the most powerful character in the anime, but I am going to say he is definitely very very high on that list, and probably higher than most people seem to give him credit for. Lastly but not least, Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. 🤷🏻‍♂️☯️✌️

The thing that people underestimate about Itachi fights/encounters, isn't just his power, (it's mainly writters or Kishimoto's fault for making Itachi seem or to look very powerful throughout the series) but how smart and intelligent he is during various situations, he never, ever underestimates his opponents because of his composure and his way of being, the level of thinking he's on honestly dwars most people in the series, with only people like Minato and Shikaku comparable with him. More precisly, Itachi isn't just any ordinary Shinobi also, he pretty much knows and he's also aware that all strong opponents have weaknesses (including himself), and he specializes in finding those "weaknesses" and exploiting them ("*Even the strongest of opponents always has a weakness*" - Uchiha Itachi) because he's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. Itachi is very unique and authentic, especially in the factor of facing various encounters approach, his unpredictability in his way of fighting style approach it's his key factor in all of his encounters. Being blind or nearly blind has never slowed him down (especially when he's pretty much serious, but that's the point, he has never go all out against anyone during the series.) Itachi it's that type of character who can exceed almost any expectations. (at least that's what we were shown in the anime by the creator Masashi Kishimoto). Moral of the story, never underestimate Itachi. He did more sick than most healthy ninjas do in their entire life. In my opinion No One should underestimate such an unpredictable Shinobi like Itachi, even Madara (I won't say that Itachi can beat him, but at least he will be pretty much able to put a decent fight that Madara will also be impressed in my opinion). Also how can some of you guys even consider that Totsuka Blade it's slow when no such speed feat has been shown through the Shippuden that state it that it is slow? All of you are assuming it to be slow it may not be the case... Its not that the sword is unavoidable but it clearly has a very long range and is a very long blade. If you look at the manga, Naruto, Bee and Itachi are all relatively small from Nagato's point of view, and you can see the Totsuka Blade extending all the way from Itachi, piercing through Nagato, and still managing to nearly pop out toward the reader out of the page. I would say its fast because Kabuto coudldn't even react to it, and its not like Nagato was completely immobile to the point that he couldn't sidestep the blade. Also, Kabuto controlling people from far away is never stated to inhibit the Edos' reaction speed in any way. Being controlled by someone thousands of miles away didn't stop the Third Raikage from dodging KCM Naruto's Rasenshuriken. And as for Orochimaru, the sword struck him in between syllables of a word during his speech. I think that that is pretty fast. Pair the Totuska Blade with a good feint and its lethal because its ethereal, meaning it can pierce through any object. If the sword didn't live up to its reputation then Orochimaru wouldn't seek it out. People need to stop downplaying Itachi and denying the very clear speed feats of Totsuka. There is no room for interpretations here. The advantage of being an Uchiha, especially for Itachi and Madara, is that during an encounter against them, they always have a counter because of their unpredictable way of fighting factor, they don't run out of options or techniques, they almost always have a counter in their arsenal, even forbidden jutsus seems irrellevant against them, only a few Uchihas know a certain way to approach the situation with a certain and effective technique, that's why is hard/difficult to fight against them in my opinion. ☯️ 🤷🏻‍♂️ Here are the things that make Itachi so formidable. Tsukuyomi - A genjutsu so powerful that you literally can't escape it unless you have the same blood as Itachi, as stated by Itachi himself and proven later by Sasuke, or you're a jinchuriki. Jinchuriki are supposed to be immune to genjutsu but it hasn't been proven, but when Bee was fighting Edo Nagato and Itachi with Naruto, he said to watch out for Tsukuyomi explicitly. Literally 99% of all opponents fighting Itachi have no way of stopping Tsukuyomi. You could have the power to split the planet in half and it wouldn't matter. (Want to know why? - Kakashi pretty much state it in the actual anime and manga that Tsukuyomi it's such a dangerous Genjutsu Technique because it happen in a instant, even if you realize that you are trapped in the Tsukuyomi, it will be too late, because Itachi could approach you during that time in the real world (or he can use an Explosive Clone to approach you without you even realizing it in time and he can pretty much finish you before you can even realize, - 72 hours in Tsukuyomi realm means 1 second or a couple of seconds in the real world. Tsukuyomi can't be broken, when used to it's fullest.) The Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror - The Susanoo itself is a near invincible defense but these two weapons take it to the next step. The Sword of Totsuka can seal "anything" if it even touches it. It's completely OP. It's hard to fight a guy that can seal you away if his sword even touches you. The Yata Mirror is even a bigger deal in my opinion. It doesn't block attacks, it's "negates" them. You could throw an Amaterasu covered Bijuu bomb at Itachi and the Yata mirror will negate it, making it so the Susanoo doesn't even need to take a blow. You could punch the Yata mirror and the force will completely be negated. His biggest strength of all: tactical intelligence - Itachi always outsmarts and plans for everything because the plot demands it. You're physically strong? Itachi is already 2 steps ahead of you knowing exactly what to do. You're extremely fast? Again, 2 steps. You're going to try and outlast Itachi in a fight? Good luck. To add to this, some of the 3 most powerful techniques in the verse are due to his intelligence and planning ability; Izanami, Izanagi, and Kotoamatsukami. Izanami - A forbbiden genjutsu technique that allows you to alter someone's destiny. Impossible to break out of even if you know you're in a genjutsu without complying with the users set destiny for you. Even someone like Bee, a perfect Jinchuriki, can't escape Izanami unless he does what Itachi wants him to. Izanagi - You somehow gained an advantage over Itachi? He makes it so that advantage never happened. Kotoamatsukami - Though Shisui's technique, Itachi has his eye which effectively makes it his weapon. A genjutsu so powerful that the person it's cast on doesn't even know they're under a genjutsu. Like the Tsukuyomi, completely OP. To add to all of this, Itachi is pretty good at hand to hand combat, is great with shuriken, is extremely fast, is great with regular fire techniques, is slippery and unpredictable, and has the extremely dangerous and fast Genjutsu style of fighting approach that can caught you off guard almost at any time. With all of these things considered you've got one dangerous ninja. Lastly but not least Kishimoto made sure that Itachi was seen as someone special and he did an incredible job in establishing that in the story. When Itachi Uchiha awakened his Susano'o, he was seen wielding legendary weapons of the Totsuka Blade and the Yata Mirror. The former allowed Itachi to seal anyone he pierced in a world of genjutsu forever, while the latter gave him the ability to deflect any and all attacks thrown towards him, regardless of whether they were physical or spiritual in nature. According to Zetsu (who was around since the period of Kaguya time era until the present of Naruto) he state it in the anime and also in the manga that these weapons, when combined with his Susano'o, made Itachi Invincible. This is why Kishimoto basically had to give him a handicap: Naruto AIDS. 🤷🏻‍♂️ ☯️

TSUKYOMI: it was stated that any visual genjustsu made by an inferior eye to the Rinnegen wont work. Pain counters✅ 3. IZANAMI: for izanami the user needs to specify its unlock criteria before casting it on the target. For kabuto it was evilness. He unlocked it after he realised his mistakes but since pain wanted really wanted peace izanami wont work. Pain counters✅ TOSUKA BLADE: sealing the six paths of pain is useless because once you seal one path, pain can summon the king of hell and make another one so unless you find nagato and seal him its useless to seal the 6 paths and the only way to find nagato is to have a senjutsu and itachi dosent have one. So pain also counters this one✅. YATA MIRROR: lets be honest guys yata mirror is useless against any one with an absorbtion justu once pain knows it repels attack he can wait for the sausanoo to run out or find a different method pain is not that dull 😂. Pain counters✅ FIRE STYLE: Again with preta path pain can absorb any justu so its useless. Pain counters. Lets not waste our time, itachi cant counter human path(soul removing justu),chibaku tensai, king of hell, gedo mazo phantom dragon, naraka path(which controls over life and death) guys at the end of the day pain will just make itachi one of the six paths😥 this fight is not fair in any way pain absolutely dominates itachi. First of: Izanami would work given that Pain has kind of lost himself in his pursuit for peace. He only came to his senses after Talk-No-Jutsu Secondly: The Taijutsu prowess of Pain pales in comparison to that of Itachi Thirdly: The King of Hell can't just spawn new bodies off of thin air; the corpse should be present in order for the path to get resurrected. In which case, it wouldn't be possible since Totsuka Blade kind of erases one's physical form. Itachi need seal away Preta and can just Amaterasu most of them. Now the only real problem lies with Tendo Pain. To be honest, at this point Itachi is probably out of Chakra and so Pain wins nonetheless. The point is; he might have a tough time but he's definitely taking five of them down with him. Don't disrespect Itachi's genius like that. Obito had respect for that man for a reason

2. No it wasn't stated as such. What was stated is only an uchiha genetics are capable of resisting it. 3. Did you miss nagato's while TNJ? Naruto literally changed his mind, the guy beleived himself to be a god ge was definitely deluded. 4. Wrong again. The narka path can only revive a damaged body. It can't create a new one. If the body is sealed away for eternity, I'm afraid that's it. 5. A viable plan but not exactly a counter. Edo Itachi vs edo nagato was Itachi winning right up until CT, so you're already wrong there. If Itachi can survive CT he beats pain probably and even if not it'll be one hell of a fight. No one's demolishing the other.

For izanami to activate the caster must have a physical contact or eye contact with the victim and we all know the path of pain aren't real they are just controlled with chakra🤷‍♂️ besides he has a Rinnegan any visual genjustsu wont work. 4. You just reminded me abt something. Naraka path can interact with souls while itachi cant, what will itachi do against his soul being removed from his body. Edo itachi didn't defeat nagato alone🤦‍♂️ he literally asked them to help him destroy nagato's chibaku tensai, itachi used Yasaka beads naruto used rasenshiruken while bee used a bijuu bomb, They had to use their strongest attacks, imagine if itachi was alone you know damn well yasaka beads wont do shit to chibaku tensai alone

@@ANITOOB 2. No it's not, I even checked again. He says clear as day you need the uchiha kekkei genkai and a sharingan. 3. Eye contact will be easy to establish due to the connected vision of the paths. Physical contact can be established at the comfort of his susano'o. Visual genjutsu can work on the rinnegan. 4. Itachi can indeed absorb souls with his totsuka blade and you do realise he can just not get caught by the human path right? Itachi is faster. Pay more attention when you read what I said cuz I already addressed that point. If chibaku tensei is nagato's only win con then it's already a close match.

Genjutsu won't work on pain, his only useful win condition is Amaterasu, I don't think Susano would be dangerous for pain but surely a problem. If Tendo launches Chibaku Tensei then he wins, If Itachi can kill 5 paths enough quickly, Itachi wins

Pain can counter all of those moves he can push Amaterasu away and any eye related genjutsu won’t work on him and pain can just get his other path to summon the animals to hold the susanoo off

Itachi dealt with pain with easy during the reanimation. With sussano, amaterasu uzanagi and the sealing sword at his disposal, that would have been a tough call but pain has very little defense to susano.
