I have Paget’s of the bone. It started showing up in my teens. At first the dr thought it was ank spondylitis but later was confirmed as Paget’s. I’m 48 now. Bilateral hip replacements, I need a shoulder replacement. And I have one hell of a fibromyalgia deal going on. As far as pain goes, otc & Tylenol are no where near any kind of relief. My life has been reduced to home bound, bed couch, bed, couch, etc. I’ve also had a meningioma tumor in t-7 removed back when I was 30. Managed to go to school & work till the tumor. After that, I’ve been permanently disabled. Chronic disease is no fun at all

My endocrinologist & rheumatologist both agreed to Rx DULOXETINE (generic for Cymbalta) to manage bone pains. Start with 30 mg per day, gradually working up to determine how much is required for my particular situation. After 6 months experimenting, it was determined that 60 mg mid-day & 60 mg a couple hours b4 bed usually controls the pain well enough that I can continue to work, and sleep comfortably. Occasional flare ups require an additional 30 mg capsule as needed. Hope it helps you as well! Let us know, please?

Ooh dear, im so sorry about your pain. I was given this topic to research about and present. I'm a nursing student. You've helped me shift this from just anything I read in books. I wish there was something to be done to take all this away

Common? COMMON??!! It took 14 YEARS to finally get a diagnosis for this! I questioned & bugged EVERY MEDICAL professional that I met; nobody had a clue! Multiple symptoms, weird skull deformities, odd tense headaches with no explanation, leg pain preventing sound sleep, etc... Yet nobody had a clue. Finally my ENT got with my Neurologist and ordered a full body scan, concentrated on the skeletal structure. Eureka!
