Great review! As long as you know what you are getting into and have set realistic expectations, homage watches are fine. I have had a PD-1693 since last September and it's doing well.

I have two PD watches on order. I’m no watch snob but I can honestly say I’ve never been injured by my watches.

I've got the PD GMT Batman on an oyster bracelet. It's a phenomenal watch for the price.

Does the GMT hand align at 12-oclock? and how is the movement going for accuracy after more use?

Thanks! This watch was on my list of watches to consider, and this review pushed me over the top. When you buy a watch online without feeling it and seeing if there's any unacceptable cheapness it makes it difficult to pull the trigger and buy. I'm on my way to Ali express to pick it up! UPDATE: according to aliexpress, the watch has been shipped and "is in your country". I've ordered a few watches from them before, so in a few weeks (from mid June) it should show up at my door!

How Good is it?

I have ordered the same watch like this but with Seiko Nh34 movemnt. A bit expensive than PD. Im still waiting for the shipment. A bit excited

I picked one up for 75 bucks, been wearing it to work for almost 2 months, so far not a single scratch on the face or bezel and it has not lost or gained any time since the day I got it. Im happy with it....

I can imagine, I was actually very tempted to keep this one, as a daily wearer it offers real value for money, and for what you get there is very little to complain about.

Thanks, you are correct, no Explorer on the dial and in my calipers I measured it at 40.36mm without the crown.

Hi, nice review - I have the Batman version as I wanted a ceramic bezel. The start of the video certainly didn't look 1080p quality. Was there a camera issue? No problems when you did the watch review.

Love the design. Had to send two back. Losing 90 seconds per day/repeated stopping when fully wound/raspy hand-wind/crown very hard to pull out to 2nd time-set positon. Replaced for a model with a Seiko movement. Crap shoot on the quality control.

I think you have hit the risk with these watches on the head, everything is 'easy' to produce without any real issues, but the movement in a watch is complex no matter how much it costs, and here it's been done purely to a price point, which means the quality can sometimes be a little hit or miss. So far I have had a couple of these movements and one was fine and the other was average. For me, if you are buying one of these 'good value' watches, better to keep it simple and go 3 hander with an NH35 or Miyota movement inside.

Indeed. They are replacing my watch with one with a Seiko movement [PD1672]. As much as the GMT Pepsi [PD1662] was a real thrill after hankering for the Rolex GMT Pepsi for so long, I want something reliable.

How is it that anybody but me can get one of these watches where everything lines up correctly? Either the bezel won't correspond to the watch face and have backplay, and the cyclops will be off-center on the watches I receive. Damn.

I can sympathise, I have yet to see a cyclops on any of the watches I have reviewed that is straight and aligned. Seems to me that getting that one aspect right would be a lot easier than some of the other common issues you come across.

All good but the accuracy is terrible. Around 3 minutes daily on mine 😅

I know it's a stab in the dark but would you be willing to give this watch away for my dad? I have been looking for a replica Rolex Daytona for ages now. I want to get it as a Birthday gift for my dad who is a huge Rolex Daytona fan and loves Rolex watches. I want to be able to give him this watch on his birthday (which is early May) as a way of saying thankyou to him for helping me in life and especially in school over the last year, as I was in my final year of high school and I completed it from home. My dad helped me so much and I just want to be able to give back to him. He loves his watches but doesn't own any since his old watch broke about 10 years ago. Unfortunately I cannot afford to buy him or even myself a watch as I am 18 years old and obviously don't have the money to do so. PS: I love your videos they are very informative and you don't leave any information out. Your videos are also very honest which is fantastic Keep it up!!!

Pagani watches are not very expensive, this particular one is GMT, ( I believe 2?). With the " Pepsi" bezel. There's also an all black. Black, red " coke". Black and blue " batman". Anyways they're O.k..... Pagani does make a Daytona clone as well, even less expensive.... If you want to get your dad a good, inexpensive watch.... It's hard to beat a Seiko 5.

Wow if your 18 you should have some type of job! When my son was 16 he got his first job while in high school and bought me a g-shock for Father’s Day! Have some pride in yourself and earn that watch for your dad!

It all depends on your viewpoint, if you compare this to a Daniel Wellington or similar, then I think you are getting a load more for your money, but compare it to the genuine swiss thing, then it's going to come up short.

Hi there, I enjoyed the review, very good. Have a look at the Tandorio PT5000 range of watches, they are fantastic, let down only by the abysmal Luminescence, the same as Pagani Design watches. Also the Baltany range is well worth a look at. Looking forward to more reviews. JANBOY. RN. Rtd.
