In order to implement the policy, we need the politicians in parliament to pass the law in order to see the policy really put into action. So, Kian Ming pls come back in the next general election. Since you are in the DAP, it is easy for you to come back in politics. Our country is short of highly educated politicians. You are the young politicians that can bring changes in terms of finance & technology. Kian Ming, you are most welcome to come back to politics and lead the Malaysian Chinese community. Many young Malaysian Chinese have migrated to other countries because there are less opportunities in this country for them to have a bright future. There are less opportunities in government sector & corporate sector forvthem to excel themselves.

I agreed that PADU has its fair share of shortcomings. I do find communication is the weakest link: They could have launched this PADU as beta, and work on its continuous improvement along the way (like many tech products eg initial stage of android). That said this is still a highly commendable endeavor from Rafizi, especially developing from in house no less

I like how they are dressed. It's relaxed and I resonate with that. No protocol and it's feels like I have them in my living room without hierarchy to navigate. They express things easily for many to understand. I would appreciate time stamps though to get to the things I am most interested in.

How government officials or officers made some Chinese hate DAP because Mr. Lim Guan Eng withdrew their subsidies because these Chinese Malaysians had a couple of properties on rental. They have no right to hate or dislike Mr. LIM. Lim is doing what is proper. How could these Chinese Malaysians get the subsidies when properties were under their very names. And why they have this kind of greed. They did not care about country and peoples. I am not a great fan or supporter of Mr. Lim. But I speak without fear or favour. I hope peoples affected will not dislike or hate unnecessarily. And I hope I don't get into trouble. Because we also have to fix ourselves and straighten ourselves for good.

But sometimes...even local brand..like Siti Khadijah Telekung ..or even Scarves/Hijab ..like Duck or whateva la...was not even design or locally produce/fabricated in Malaysia...they still produce in China or Vietnam.. so no local talent and skill are being benefited from this industry at all..

I guess the fact that PADU didn’t even have soft launch/ pilot test ( not that I’m aware of) is because it was perhaps sort of a rushed job? Although it’s somewhat understandable when it is developed by less experienced in house staff, with tonne of complications (ie : legal, cooperation from other gov departments, deadlines to meet)

Very simple, whatever procurement in Uni/Gov/Institution dont allow own claim/petty cash. They have to go through approved vendors. So to compensate the 30days or 90days payment facilities, not to mention aftersales or warranty if any. End up sure it will be sold by a 3rd party vendor at a higher cost.

How about Malaysians working abroad or mostly in Singapore? Would you be eligible for all subsidies? We got no info on their incomes and social-economic status. At the moment, tax money will then be transferred from local workers, mostly earning less, paying subsidies for them working abroad. I have a lot of friends who are still getting subsidies regularly even though they are earning SGD 6k a month bc he/she registered himself/herself back in the days they were studying or started working.

Imho, This whole PADU episode is unrealistic timeline. Why? gomen want to rollout PADU as a centralised DB for subsidy rationalisation exercise. To factor in tech side, law side, user response etc in 1 year or less, seems pretty unrealistic. this is not one simple application or system, this needs to to connect to so many other databases, just the architecture alone would have taken minimum 8 months to 1 year. Commendable to do this in house, but you must understand the whole picture first, your team must know why how and when they are to execute such a large scale project. You may not have the necessary expertise to do it. And this can lead to diminished confidence in handling rakyats data. You are gona have alot of ppl not going to register for this despite saying must do it in 3 months and now i heard extended. Also what is the assurance these data cannot be compromised? we have seen time and time again of confidential data leaks on the net for malaysia alone. Maybe go back to the drawing board and look at it holistically and then relaunch.
