ICB to withdraw Padma Bank Investment as return eludes
দেউলিয়ার হাত থেকে বাঁচাতে অর্থ মন্ত্রণালয়ের পরামর্শে আইসিবি এবং ৪ টি রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত্ব বাণিজ্যিক ব্যাংক ৭১৫ কোটি টাকা বিনিয়োগ করে পদ্মা ব্যাংকে। এর মধ্যে আইসিবি'র বিনিয়োগ ৫৫ কোটি টাকা। যা বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ৮৫ কোটি টাকা। তবে ৫ বছর ধরে কোনো মুনাফা না পাওয়ায় ওই বিনিয়োগ তুলে নেয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছে রাষ্ট্রায়ত্ত্ব এ সংস্থাটি। এদিকে, ২০২১ সালের সেপ্টেম্বর পর্যন্ত পদ্মার মূলধন ঘাটতি ৫৪০ কোটি টাকা এবং খেলাপী ঋণ ৬২%।
