As a Wednesday fan I’ve never known a player to get as much shit from the crowd but take it on the chin and give it back in a good way. Always had respect for paddy for that and it was always good hearted even though it was savage at times 😂

Love paddy remember when he come to Barnsley with sheff u just after his wife left him the whole ponti end was singing Kenny where's your wife he just turned and put his arms out pure class top keeper aswell

Great podcast. Can’t wait for part 2. Great insight into Warnock. Being a smoggy, it’s nice to know a few players are getting abit of a rollicking off the gaffer. The games changed too much. Too many pampered players. Great podcast.

Was one of my favourite players growing up.. met him around a year ago too what a bloke top keeper top bloke

Only 10mins in and this is fantastic,deffo buying the book,I've got no link to Paddy or to any of the club's he played for,but the blokes a legend, great character!.

Paddy kenny is a bloody legend in his own right... i hope part 2 gives us an insight to that qpr team he helped get promoted. Another quality video lads!

I went to school with Paddy, I remember dreading having to go out in the snow and sleet to play football on the top field, Paddy just loved it. Paddy will remember Noel, Gerard, Danny Megson and myself Danny Hatton, I hated it though, they loved it.

@@Tricky181 I was from Illingworth, the school was in Holmfield. Halifax Catholic High School. The school that Akley Bridge was filmed in. Not sure about which area Paddy lived in.

Cracking interview. Would love to hear about his drug ban. Think at the time he did an interview and said he had kids cough medicine. The story after that would be good though. He came back from the ban and played a game and was praised by all the blades fans but then went to QPR. 2nd game of the following season he played against us and got booed to hell. They won 3-0 and Blackwell got the sack after that game . Paddy went up with QPR that season though and we went down.

Mint Jelly Media I remember that QPR game was only 9 years old they was 3-0 up in about 25 minutes. We was shocking but i remember that Kenny’s mrs chant that was going about. a lot of “You fat bastard” going about too 😂 I remember my dad even telling me as i don’t recall, but that game a bloke had been abusing him all game (we were sat quite a distance not that Kenny would’ve heard any) and a woman was sat next to him with a young kid. Eventually she spoke up and asked him to stop to which he replied “Sorry luv, but he’s a right cunt”

@@FootballFury Sounds about right. I think he is forgiven now though. Once a few years before that at a game, I forget who against, I was sat in the family stand and we were losing at half time. Paddy booted the ball in to the crowd which went straight for my head (I was about 12 or something). I ducked and it hit the poor old bloke behind me flush in the face. Broke his glasses and cut his face up bad. Paddy ran in to the crowd and gave the bloke the match ball but he wasn’t happy, rightly so. Paddy could be a tool but he was a great character for us.

Mint Jelly Media I like him. Haven’t all the time i’ll admit. Think he made a lot of memories at the blades and definitely helped make memories for the fans. He left for money yes but his service for the club cannot go unappreciated in my opinion.

Fucking bumped into Paddy for in the city centre a couple of times in Sheffield. No wonder we lost to Wolves in the playoff final. Fuck me he was on it a couple of nights previously.
