    I remember driving from Mcallen Tx back and seeing these all the way to somewhere outside of Houston I think , they were impressive as I thankfully don’t see these at home but they are an eye sore after the first 20. Better forms of power.

    I don’t mind these. They seem very efficient for wind. The ones I’ve seen are either bigger or closer but I really love to just sit and watch them like ants when they’re really bigger than I could fathom from the shore

    Why can’t we have the Moltex nuclear reactor that literally burns nuclear waste. It solves the long term storage problem and makes 20x more power that the original old school reactor extracted from the fuel.

    That's a molten salt reactor? Because its not tested enough. China is building one let's see if can be operated for decades without breaking, the fuel mix is corrosive for example.... Apropo uk and nucelar it's sad uk clenched so hard to gas cooled reactors for so long even though they clearly are worse than PWR and BWR.

    Atleast a modern traditional nuclear plant is safer than older style plants, cleaner, more powerful and less wasteful than a wind farm. Too many nimbys and fearmongering though. Not knocking molten reactors or fusion but why wait on china (a communist dictatorship) to build one for us?

    Just curious do you have GPS like the one you can call for help ? If so what you using I need to buy one I went out the other day 5 mile and the wind picked up on a day like yours and I had to dig deeeeep to get back at points I was getting nowhere Il be honest I shit my pants hard for a second, it took me 3 hours 20 mins of roughing it big time 5 miles only, my god if it was a 10 piece I reckon I might of lost a lung and when I say I still ache now and it was 2 weeks ago its an understatement literally nearly thought about letting the sea take my board when I got back. The packing the board into my bag literally took me 30 minutes

    It’s not the audio but why is the open sea with just large turbines sitting there so uncomfortable I get the same fear with large empty hangers with big vents or foam machines hanging from the ceiling

    I was told you could see the base of the furthest wind tower where it bolts into the yellow platform from the beach. Is that true? Btw, that must’ve been a lot of paddling. But it looks like it was worth it to you. Nice job.

    Earth is so massive, it bends light slightly so it is possible you could see below horizon and see the base, it’s unlikely though. In fact, the sun bends so much light that when you look at it, you’re seeing what’s behind it, around it

    It is a waste, thank nimbys and fearmongering. Wind turbines breakdown quite often and dont have that long a lifespan. Most of the rare earth materials used to make them come from communist china and when they break down they 'wind up' in landfills. It would be wiser to build nuclear plants but fear is our master it seems. Also muh climate denializism.
