Packington's Pound

A lute tune, Dd. 4.22, Cambridge, c. 1615
played on an A six course renaissance lute made by Knud Sindt
This tune is sometimes attributed to lutenist, Francis Cutting-though, his name is not found on any of the extant broadside ballads. The name may have originated from John Packington-one of Elizabeth I's court favourites.
