His bathroom seems like it hasn't been cleaned for years, the kitchen counter and floor are sticky from what appears like years of oil grease, fridge has spills everywhere inside and moody food, and his house has clutter everywhere. I roll my clothing by item & then put them in ziploc bags with the item written on it, but that’s because most of my items are black, you might not need labels. Easy organization, everything is kept clean & dry even if the bag gets wet or something leaks, & then I don’t have a stinky suitcase full of dirty clothes after, they go in their bags which get washed & reused later. And by putting them in bags I can squeeze air out & fit a lot more without anything tangling & wrinkling.

I’m not Indian, but I do the same. Each clean outfit is folded together so I don’t have to go digging around for it. When I get to my destination entire outfits are also hung together for easy, organized access. Sleep clothes are folded together and all underclothes are in their own zipped nylon bag. Shoes are all bagged as well. I pack a dirty clothes bag for all worn clothes to be folded into and separate from any still clean clothes for the trip home. Of course toiletries are in their own bag as well. I bring a wet bag in case something slightly wet needs to be packed.

However while coming back most of the clothes are worn multiple times and very wrikly. So this method saves time packing dirty laundry in an efficient way. So, I fold my clothes together - on top of each other, for the luggage, I don’t roll them, I fold them..and if they are also pre-ironed - that saves so much space + they stay unwrinkled better if they are folded together… I put a non slippery material on top of slippery materials so they stay more put together and not move as much.

If it’s a short trip and weather isn’t too bad I can lay out each outfit on its own too. It does save a bit of space but tbh most times I still prefer the organisation of folding things individually.

I pack my clothes by setting out my outfits with each clothing on top of each other, and then I roll them up by outfit! I actually think it helps because when you need clothes for that day, you can open your suitcase, and then just grab the outfit you need and sort them out by week! It might not save room, but you don’t have to spend some time reorganizing!

With pants I do have to fold them just in half but still saves so much for me! As for wrinkles, I don’t usually struggle with them but if it happens, I already pack a hair straightener and just use that as an iron if the hotel or place in staying at doesn’t have one!

Great idea (except the shoes touching clothes!) I will try this at Christmas, as all my clothes are wrinkle free. But girl, at least put your undies and socks in ziplock bags!

This is very similar to how i pack. I can fit so much more in my suitcase - the only problem is that i can fit so much in that it gets really heavy!

This might be over the top but I not only do piles of clothes, but I also make a suitcase map. it tells me where everything is vague, not by name but by subcategory, and is super efficient. the downside, my family thinks I'm crazy but I hold by the logic that even einstein was called crazy before being called a genius haha!

Meanwhile My Mama everytime We have to go somewhere: Dear, How many times do I tell you? Keep ur clothes in the bag only after folding them perfectly so that When u wear it, there r no wrinkles.... We have an Iron ar home so Use it haan! U don't want others thinking u r unorganised. This is actually a good hack if you have limited space and a limited budget, sometimes things do not need to organized and crazy clean to travel, the whole point is to get it there so you can wear it

YO, i have a family of six people and we can fit all of our clothes for a 3 day vacation in one bag (which by the looks of it, the size of your bag is the same as ours)...... just roll your clothes individually is WAYY better. That way, you can just shove your underwear in the little gaps. Also, we usually store all of our shoes that we bring under our car seat, never in the bag. That way, when we wanted to change shoes, just change them on the way to the place we're going to.

I traveled a lot this year and I know everybody packs differently but I tried this method and then I packed them all individually. When I folded the clothes individually, my luggage held a lot more pieces of clothing then when folded together.

I'd love to see the same items packed multiple ways (your way, regular rolling, maybe folded?) to see if/how much difference there is. To those complaining about the chaos, we all organize differently. Maybe you're fine with this chaos, maybe you unpack at your destination, who knows?

I would have still been able to get everything in that carry on bag and still been able to put my toiletries/makeup bags, plus my PC /all electronic devices & neck pillow in the bag as well. I would have just used a USB Space saver vacuum with space saver bags for my clothes & neck pillow. I would have had extra storage space for more shoes or for stuff that I would buy during my travels. 😊🎉❤

I pack things this way when I am going to Jamaica for a month. But only because I will be unpacking everything, and utilizing drawers and closet space in the hotel for the duration. I pack much more carefully if I have to live out of the suit case. (Although I do pack clothes more non wrinkled)

Tip: roll them up individually, rolling the clothes together will make your clothes and pants wrinkled Tip 2: if ur only staying for a few days don’t unpack your luggage keep all ur things in the suitcase and you don’t need to repack it which saves so much time

And I pack jersey cloth clothes because they don't wrinkle and dry overnight in the bathroom shower after a quick rinse in the sink with soapy then clear water. 3 pair of slacks, five blouses, one dress, 3 pairs of shoes, and warm somethings will serve for a month of travel.

Man this comment section is so mean. I do this exact same thing! It saves a lot of space and is also way more organized if you do like shirts in one roll, pants in another roll, socks/underwear in another. You can also do it by outfit, so like a shirt, pants, underwear and socks in one roll so it’s easy to grab. This is definitely how I pack for everything

I just put a big towel at the bottom of the suitcase, roll every piece of clothing individually and stack them on top of eachother, put my underwear and other clothing piecee that are clean with it and cover all of that with that big towel I put underneath, so it can't get dirty. I put my shoes in trash bags, push all air out of those bags that I can and put those in different part of my suitcase and I put my cosmetics, hygiene products and other stuff in individual pouches and then I realize that I overpacked again 🙄 so I lay on all of them clothes that I packed until it all kinda shrinks and then I quickly close the suitcase and it is done, finally! Then I remember that I forgot to pack something...😤

Make life easy and quick and organized. I have the different size internal packing bags, drop underwear in one, tops or full outfits in on, shoes in one, save one for dirty or worn clothes for the trip back etc. so easy to pack, so easy to repack, do easy to find stuff. Got them for the kids, now they go their own packing.
