So he could come and immediately start, possibly play the whole year if Kyler doesn’t rehab properly or if something goes wrong. The problem with Cam is that he doesn't have the personality/status for an NFL backup role. He's clearly not a top 15 starter anymore, and as a backup, he would bring too much media speculation/drama that's a deficit when you play backup. Teams are looking for more than just talent in their veteran backups. They are looking for other things like reliability, teamwork, football intelligence, and no drama. It's why his argument about him being better than other NFL randoms at QB doesn't hold up. Cam is too old to be a talented prospect, and he's too much of a star to be a reliable and quiet backup who does what he's told. No team wants to deal with that because it's not worth it.

7:37 The difference between Jimmy G and Rodgers is that Packers have too much to lose in trade compensation. No one has any leverage here worth noting. If Packers play hardball, them both teams suffer. Cam is a system guy. Panthers built their entire offense around Cam. I don't see Cam jpung into another system without exposing major deficits.

49ers get Cam on the cheap and were a decent QB away from making the Super Bowl. If their Glass Joe QB's hadn't gotten hurt. Cam's got a shot there. Might not start, but with those QB's down and out and Cam on the cheap it's easy.

That what SF needs is another below average QB keeping them from a SB. Cam isn't the answer. Unless the question is do you want to lose. Because that's all Cam has down over the last 5 years he played. He dragged teams down while getting them higher draft picks because he couldn't win any games. In the NFL is hard to cover up terrible QB play. Cam is the poster kid for that. He killed every team he was on.

The Seahawks admitted they wanted to do right by the "player" Jalen Ramsey. They had bigger offers from other teams but he wanted to go to Miami. So the Seahawks did the right thing and sent him to Miami. Rodgers doesn't deserve for the Packers to do the right thing for "the player"?? The Packers didn't even expect Rodgers to still be playing. Hence why they drafted Jordan Love. So anything they get is a bonus!! A 3rd round pick is more than fair!

He won't be a starter, but what's worse is that his ego won't allow him to ride the bench and eat some humble pie and get better to the point where he can compete for a starting position. If he truly believes in himself, he will be willing to be a back up, which will allow him some time to polish his QB strengths and eliminate his weaknesses. I wonder if he's been watching the way Patrick MaHomes plays. I wonder if he's been trying to develop a side arm throw, shovel pass, diving throw into the end zone.

The JETS. and if they’re polite they may offer the same thing which is a 2nd or a couple 2nds because if you don’t do the deal now then his trade value drops even more lmao. Packers want to wait until after June first, 24 million against this years cap vs 40 million. Yes they will have to wait a year for the draft pick, however they want to spread that 40 million across 2 years instead of 1. Maybe Im wrong, but im thinking that they are just playing hardball and wont give in on the negotiations until after june 1st.
